We had heard so much positive about this Resort and Spa. It was great when the stars lined and we were soon on our way to the island nations.

Everything we had heard and read was less. The resort is breathtaking and the service is world class.... rather class apart.

It quiet, its serene, and its beautiful. The water villas are great and amazing, the food is delectable and the spa is absolutely relaxing.

This holiday is not for back packers and is absolutely for those who expect luxury and know they need to pay for it. They would not be be dissapointed with what they recieve.

Our fourth time in the Maldvies and as big fans of Maldives chose this resort.
Loved it, we stayed in a water villa which was really spacious, we had a sofa bed for our daughter.
All the staff in the resort were up to 1st class standards, the chef in the Restaurant from Malaysia was exceptionally helpful to our picky teen. We didn’t have particularly good weather but it
didn’t mar our experience, snorkelling was great, they are really doing well with their regenerating coral programme.
My daughter found the marine centre really interesting, a big plus to them for doing their bit to help with the damaged ecological system. Spa was great. Food was on the expensive side, but if you go to a desert island in the middle of nowhere you can't live on coconuts.
Can't wait to go back.

I wont rewrite all the positives save to say the rooms/location and service are excellent and as is the food and are all the staff and just about eveything everyone has said is true ! so why not 5 stars
Well my only niggle are the prices on the island itself - and before everyone says the standard response i have never minded paying up at top places but you will struggle not to spend between 100 to 150 pounds per day on supper ( mains start at 45 usd ) and 50-75 pounds per day on a pool lunch ( a burger is 35 usd) with soft drinks 10 usd and even the activities are v expensive ( night fishing is 75 usd each) and having stayed at various places around the maldives it just feels like they are trying to squeeze the pips just a little too much
- so yes it was amazing and everything was excellent and i would recommend the hotel but for a week adding an extra few thousand dollars to you bill is easy and could leave a bad taste for some
i cant remember if there was a half board option but if available it would be sensible to take it

Picture this: you have an entire island that's the resort, with perfect bright blue waters on all sides. It's huge! When we had visited, the occupancy was 100%, yet we hardly saw any people whenever we came out of our rooms. It was as if we had the enitre island to ourselves! Perfect setting for a honeymoon, you would think.

But wait, there's more.

There are rooms with private beaches- trust me, you would want that when you're actually there!

Ours was on the sea itself, standing on stilts. It had a private pool- you should take that if you're on a honeymoon :)

The beach is covered in greenery, so you hardly feel the heat even when it's extremely hot.

The food is excellent. We experimented a lot- from their speciality restaurant to burgers to even dal makhani. I must admit that even though I am from Amritsar (where you get unmistakably the best finger-licking food!), this was by far the best Dal Makhani I've ever had!

The service is great too. Do not forget to remove the DND when you order food- the poor chap will ahve to go all the way back to the kitchen!

They'll make a honeymoon bed and bathtub for you if you request them. Also, try the sunset cruise- it's excellent!

I must admit that this is by far the best hotel I've stayed in!

Went here for my honeymoon and was not disappointed. Stayed in a villa (301) with plunge pool and definitely worth it - having the beach right outside the villa is a lot better than having just a drop in to the sea as you do with the lagoon villas.

Otherwise - exceptional service (they even got a special channel added to the TV system so I could watch the F1 race), super fresh and tasty food (although a little expensive), beautifully clear sea and beach. You wont be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed at the Taj Exotica for 5 nights following a tour in Sri Lanka for our honeymoon. I had heard good things about the Maldives generally but didn't realise just how amazing it would be! The service was amazing, the staff could not do enough for you!! The food was out of this world, it was lucky that we went all inclusive as it could have been really expensive!! It was so amazing that when we got back home we saw holiday brochures for other destinations which looked awful compared to maldives!! I would go back tomorrow if I had the money!!!
