“Lovely sandy beach”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

My first visit and was impressed by the stretch of golden sand. On the day it was a great place to fly a kite which is what many had. Come to do. One downer was the cafe wasn't up to much. Pleasant views of Rye harbour.

“Beautiful sandy beach”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Miles of sand, sky and space - we had a long walk before dinner and another one before breakfast - so peaceful, the only noise was the seagulls. The best de-stressing experience.

“Pontins Camber Sands”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

Accommodation

Basic accommodation was pretty poor the new refit was too a very poor standard. Paint work awful no cutting in and looked like a 5 year old was let loose with a paint brush.
Laminate went up the walls and poorly fitted.
Only one plug socket in the kitchen to run all appliances.
Got upgraded accommodation due to a infest if earwigs and must say the popular accommodation was a lot nicer and of a decent standard.

The food was awful and only one restaurant on site £8.95 an adult for very poor standard of meals. The drinks were served in what can only be described as a thimble sized glass.
The on site pub online advertise trading pub food. This was a heated pie in a microwave and a bag of crisps. Very disappointed as was expecting a lot more. Online states a pizza joint which was there but closed all week.

The trampolines were closed most the week and when opened open for a few hours.

The go karts were good but having to fight to get a car was a bit too much. The go karts were staffed by a gentleman that just sat on his ruck sack doing nothing. It was a free for all especially as the go karts were coin operated and despite a large number of people waiting to use them some families found it acceptable to stay on them all afternoon.

Blue coats were fantastic and went out there way for the kids.

Beautiful immaculate beach very over priced very few shops nothing there. Very boring on a miserable day must have the dry weather to make it slightly enjoyable.

“Best beach in UK”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

About 1 hour 45 mins from London. Miles of beautiful sands. When tides in beach looks packed but as tide goes out people spread out and it can take up to 20 mins to reach the sea...it's heaven. Car parks and cafés, shops, and boat swings and bouncy castle..take your kids on the next sunny day but take the sun cream and avoid windy days.
