“Xmas stay”
Reviewed 1 January 2018 for a stay in December 2017

Four day Christmas stay at the Salty Dog ,Met on arrival by housekeeper who gave advise of all services and was very helpful and accomodating,.. Food and drink hamper on table when arrived was a lovely gesture. The house had every possible utility , for cooking and a restful stay. Great communications across the stay with nothing too much trouble. Lovely local pubs 2 mins walk , with great beach within same distance.. 40 minute walk gets you to Rye along a safe hard standing footpath.
Overall would highly recommend the Salty Dog as a place to stay at any time of the year.

“Perfect for a family getaway”
Reviewed 29 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Having booked The Salty Dog to celebrate my 30th with my family, it's fair to say that it exceeded our expectations and then some!
Having my 6 month old nephew with us, everything he could possibly want (and his parents) for a relaxing holiday was brilliant and means we've found a great place to go in the future when he grows up.
The house was a stones throw from the beach and on a busy bank holiday weekend it was great not having to battle for parking.
We used the decking area and BBQ in the evenings and again there was everything you could possibly want. One of the best stocked holiday home we've been too.
Carol and her team were great contacting us and there was even a birthday cake for me and fresh scones waiting for us after our long journey.
Perfect for children, but equally for couples looking for a getaway in a beautiful setting.
Only downside is we have to wait to come back again!

“Excellent, great place for families”

We had a 4 day stay with our 2 grandsons aged 5 & 6. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The boys could go into the playroom and occupy themselves with the many games available or watch one of the videos in the TV lounge when 'the oldies' needed a break. The house was perfect, the owner has thought of everything to make the holiday a success. The boys loved it.
The sandy beach and dunes were barely a 5 minute walk away and there were a number of cycle tracks nearby. There were also plenty of interesting and fun places to visit in the area. All in all an excellent holiday base and we would certainly recommend it.

“Perfect Location”
Reviewed 1 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Perfect house for a family holiday including the dog. 5 minute walk from the beach and a half hour walk to Rye harbour. Fabulous accommodation and great hosts. We couldn't recommend this house highly enough. This was our second stay and we will definitely be staying again.

“Perfect UK beach based family break”
Reviewed 9 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We had a wonderful week at The Salty Dog. Carol (the owner) was in regular contact in advance of our stay, even sending the kids a note from Daisy Dog saying that she was looking forward to meeting them! The location is fantastic as it is just a short walk to the beach at Camber Sands and only a short drive to the lovely town of Rye.

The house is set up with everything you need and we all had a wonderful week with sunny days at the beach and lots of lovely meals out at the restaurants and pubs near by.

We will definitely be back!

“A Great Property and Location For Humans and Dogs”
Reviewed 30 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We have already sampled Rock Lobster, another property owned by the owners which proved exceptional and the Old Salty Dog we found just as good. It had all of the comforts and amenities you would expect of your own home. The location was peaceful and close by to the sandy beach and dunes ideal territory for both dogs and children to play in. Also, an ideal position to explore the 1066 Country. We would definitely return to either of the aforementioned properties sometime in the future.
