“Great food and friendly staff”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

The Coach and Horses pub was a short walk from where we were staying, the menu has a good and varied selection of food all cooked to perfection and served by really friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The pizzas are large with big chunks of meat and the chips are huge and very tasty. We also had the chicken, prawn salad and chilli con carne, the three nights we ate their we cannot fault the food the customer service and the friendliness of the staff a great pub and exceptional value for money. Well worth stopping at even if you are just passing through.

“Stop if your passing.”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

We stopped here for a bite on the way home from buckham fair- I had a jacket potatoe with coleslaw £6.25 my friends had bacon and brie baguette and chips and another a carvery. The chips were amazing. Chunky and crispy- the Carney was good although when I asked how the carvery was the response was 'it's really nice- bearing in mind it's been sat there for a while'

Service was great- we had 3 different waitresses throughout our meal- and was greeted with a warm friendly what seemed like the land lady on arrival- making jokes and very efficient-

Well done coach and horses- we wouldn't make a special trip from poole in Dorset- BUT WILL CERTAINLY STOP AGAIN NEXT TIME WE PASS.

“Fantastic service and the friendliest of staff”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

We visited on a Thursday evening and the pub was buzzing! Excellent service, drinks ordered at the table and brought to you, so no standing around at the bar. Ordered the chargrilled sea bass (excellent) with potatoes and salad. Fish was fabulous and cooked to perfection, potatoes very large and salad slightly bitter to my taste and with large leaves. My friend ordered the crab with potatoes and salad, different variety of potato, but still large with the bitter salad. Sea bass was the winner from these two! Desserts were home made ice cream which was lovely and my friend ordered the malted ice cream with marinated figs which was superb. Large cups of coffee to round off an enjoyable evening. The décor is lovely, the pub has a nice fresh feel to it and the tables are not too close together and are randomly positioned. The outside furniture looks very comfortable too. Not my first visit here and wont be my last either.

“Fantastic Food”
Reviewed 10 August 2014 via mobile

We stopped on the way to Cornwall and promised ourselves we would stop on the way home as well, what a great pub and even better food. Meaty pizza was enormous and full of real chunks of meat, and the Bison and Buffalo burger was amazing. It was a real treat to find a quality well priced and comfy place to stop and relax during a long drive. I would suggest the negative reviews are clearly an exception and please visit to make your own mind up. I will definitely recommend this place for its great food, you won't be disappointed.
