“Our time at Peachley”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

We stayed at Peachley for 10 weeks during the summer of 2013. Couldn't have chosen to spend our extended stay at a better place. Lovely family who work hard, long hours, to keep a large, grassed site looking great. Very relaxed atmosphere but owners there when needed. Pub and shop nearby, about 10 minutes walk. Fantastic walks around the fields and woods with the dogs gave us a summer to remember. Will use again for similar long term stay. Very pleased, hope the owners remember you can't please all the people all the time. Keep up the good work !!

Room Tip: N/A Caravan - ours is great !

Stayed here while working nearby, camped in the top field which has great views over the surrounding countryside. Very nicely kept camping field, grass cut short and hedges well trimmed, someone takes a lot of care here. Well priced as well, although I didn't need electricity or wifi both are available for those that like their home comforts away from home.
I'd be happy to stay there again.

1st time at Peachley and I would say I am a little disappointed. The place is very clean and tidy and they have obviously spend a great deal of money expanding the park. However with around 100 pitches, only 3 showers??. There are no parks for the kids to play on, only a football goal which is no good for girls. In addition there are signs round the park stating NO bikes or Scooters which doesn't leave much for kids to do. Thie park is simply not kiddy friendly.
The web site has no information so as a first time camper at Peachley you are unaware of the extra charges you face for awning, more than 2 people, extra car, dogs etc etc!.
Overall it's a nice campsite but let's it self down with the above.

This is our third stay now as we live in Birmingham and to tow our caravan to Worcester is an ok journey, only an hour or so.

The location is beautiful, surrounded by fields for miles and the view is lovely.

I would recommend staying on the top grass pitch in a caravan as the concrete part is quite crowded and full of young children, so if you are childless and looking for a good weekend with friends and to be able to sit out until late and talk then it's best to stay on the top pitch which is really spacious.

There is no entertainment on the night and the local pub us a 10 minute walk.

The one thing I dislike about this campsite is the cleanliness of it. The showers are full if cobwebs, spiders and flies, the floor is dirty and I have to wear flip flops in there.

They have just built a sluice which has large sinks to enable to do your washing up. We arrived on the Friday and on Sunday morning there were still bits of mouldy food stuck down the sink and the surfaces were filthy with an old scouring pad that looked riddled with germs, why doesnt anyone clean this place? The family that own it are big enough and live right there, it really let's it down.

We have recently returned from our fifth visit to Peachley and as usual had a lovely time there, I totally disagree with the reviewer who recommended people not to go to Peachley, its a very nice campsite with large pitches all of which are fully serviced and reasonably priced, we have paid far more for fully serviced especially at bank holidays at other campsites, the toilets and showers are clean, you do pay for the showers but only 20p and the electricity you pay for by purchasing cards that cost £1 each but we find it costs us less than a pound a day we don't mind this as it keeps the cost of the pitch down which is only £16-£19 per night. There are two fishing lakes they aren't huge but loaded with fish, even my husband can catch a fish at Peachley much to his delight. The owners are lovely people and very helpful, the location is excellent, so many places to visit our favourite is Stratford upon Avon but we've been further afield to Bourton on the water, Broadway and Stow on the Wold. I would recommend Peachley to anyone as a perfect base to explore this beautiful part of the country.

We returned yesterday from a wonderful 3 day weekend break at peachley and I have to say that I carn't believe that I just read such a terrible review, what are you talking about?? It is very clear that you didnt research you best holiday dstination before you went, most campsites ask for min 3 nights on bank holidays, and as for the electric card it does say on their web site that they use these and as far as i'm concerned its a great idea and you pay for only the electric you use and you can clearly see on the meter what you have left, we were there 3 day and only used £4 and that was using heating everynight and heating hot water daily.
The owners of the site are very freindly and helpful and always about for a chat.
The Ash field we were on was great, it is very new well layed and spacious, the toilets and showers were spotlessly clean and warm. There are only 3 but didnt cause any problem and they may extend these in time.
I will be going again and reccommend anyone else to try it out, if its a peaceful weekend you want then thats what you'll get.
