This guy took cool dishes from everywhere in put it together in a cool chill house. They have their own artisan beer and some cocktails.

Good food! Try to sit outside, there are a few tables. You will see the villagers pass by. A horse or two get tethered close by. And the Pentecost church on the other side of the road is quite fascinating if a bit loud..

It was obvious that locals and tourists love this place. The service was pleasing. One does have to get used to the notion that meals in Nicaragua are going to take at least two hours. So, one couldn't say it was fast, but the service is polite and attentive. It helps to start with a big bottle of beer to share. The food is excellent. We started with hummus and tortillas. It comes with a few bites of salad--beautifully dressed. I went on to the falafal--melt in your mouth wonderful. We went back for another meal and were sure to have more salad. They grow their own veggies and well as their meat. Fabulous! We sat in the backyard which is several degrees cooler than the inside.

We found ourselves in this restaurant after pushing our broken down scooter for about a kilometer. This was an excellent place to relax and have a few snacks while we waited for a rescue. Fortunately, in doing so, we learned about the tours they run. The sunset kayak tour was unbeatable, and we had a fantastic experience that was the highlight of our time on Ometepe.
