This pub is in the small hamlet of Croscombe near Wells. It is a traditional English pub with lots of character. Dogs are welcome are are usually sprawled out in the bar area. Parking can be tricky if spaces I front of pub are gone. It was a Sunday so we opted for the roast. This was good, but not great. The Yorkshire pudding was a tad over cooked. The veges were steamed served in a side bowl. The lamb was well roasted, perhaps a tad too much if you prefer a tinge of pink. Service was relatively quick but we found you had to be a bit proactive to get attention. It is usually full of locals which is good, but as visitors you do feel the eyes on you! Anyway, it is a good value, pleasant pub option with atmosphere
