Wild Lily Cottage was perfect for our family stay, from being able to collect our keys without a specific time, to its clean and well furnished interior. There were very nice touches, and it was great that a lot of equipment was available in the cottage, e.g. iron and ironing board!
It was a great price for what we got, and it also being the school holidays. The location was fantastic...just a walk down the road to the beach and a short drive to Marazion, to visit the amazing St Michael's Mount.
Thank you for the loan of your lovely property.
The cottage is perfect for holidays near the sea. I was there with 4 adults and we loved it. We defently recommend this cottage. Thank you very much Luke.
A beautiful little cottage. Wild Lily is presented beautifully, uncluttered but still warm and welcoming. We loved that there was essentials left in the kitchen for us on our arrival and Luke is a wonderful host. Lovely comfey beds with very high quality bedding. One of the best places we've stayed, we don't want to go home!
We definitely return and recommend to others.
Positives: great location and comfortable beds (what more does one need really)?
Location is the main advantage of the cottage and overall I've got a pretty positive review here. The cottage is fine but it has a few issues that need sorting out if its going to be let for £900+ for a week.
1. The bath/shower area needs attention as the window frames need replacing.
2. General cleanliness and holes in sofa. Not going to go into too much detail here but there were a few issues on arrival which left us no choice but to contact the owners. It was sorted by way of a partial refund so I am grateful to the owners of this. I have no problem when things go wrong as long as they can be fixed and I’m glad to say the owners were quick to respond.
3. Storage space could be improved especially in the upstairs bedrooms and there is nowhere to hang coats.
Its a bit dark in the cottage being surrounded very closely by the garden (and the kitchen lights flicker for quite a while before coming on), and there is no view, but there is a nice terrace area to sit outside. Even though its on the main road into Praa Sands its quiet and overall we had a nice stay - just a few bits and pieces need attention.
'Location, location, location' with this one! The fabulous Praa (pronounced 'pray') Sands beach is a short walk away. We spent about 3 days on there, and then visited lots of other beaches and places too. Cottage was well fitted out, cosy and charming with everything you would need, our children especially appreciated all the Harry Potter films saved on the Sky planner! The adults appreciated the tumble dryer, but not the lack of a dishwasher! (Back to the 'you wash, I'll dry' days...) We slept very soundly in comfortable beds, although be aware it's two doubles. Our kids didn't mind sharing. Useful having our own parking, with a generous space opposite, although you do have to be a little careful crossing over to it as cottage is on corner on a sharp bend but road not busy. The only down side for us was the shower which was basic, with a curtain, over the bath. And if you are tall be aware that you may bump your head as upstairs has eaves in every room. All in all though the owners have created a lovely, cosy environment that is ideal for coming back to after beach days and walks. (Hang wetsuits over the rails on the balcony area.) You are close to so many different attractions and well served with supermarkets, pubs and galleries (e.g. In Marazion and Porthleven.)
