we returned to this cottage to stay for Christmas 2015 after a lovely stay here in 2014. This time we stayed for a full two weeks, so were also there for new year.
The cottage as always was warm and clean on arrival. The beds were nicely made and it just felt like a home from home. The cottage has central heating and so is perfectly comfortable even through the stormy Cornish winters.
There is also wifi which means if the weather leaves you stuck for things to do, you can still access your email and social networks!
There is a brilliant local chinese that delivers here (look for the menus provided by the cottages owner!)
The couple who own this property are so helpful and available for any queries you may have, I highly recommend this property and can't wait to return in May!

Absolutely perfect.. Home from home with all the little extras just incase you forget anything. My 3 kids thought it was Xmas with toys to use on our stay. The beds are extremely comfortable, the whole cottage brilliantly clean. Booking now for next year..
We stayed at Cornish Cottage no.16 for Christmas 2014. We were so impressed that we have booked for this Christmas too (and also summer 2016!). The booking process was pleasant and the couple who own the cottage are lovely and helpful. The cottage is centrally heated which means it is also very comfortable accommodation out of season. The cottage is tastefully decorated and all cooking utensils etc are provided.
The cottage is ideally located for exploring the south-west of Cornwall, close to Penzance, Marazion and St. Ives.
I recommend this accommodation.
We booked for Christmas week at a privately owned bungalow at Kenegie Manor in Gulval. This was No.16, Old Court.
The booking and payment process was easy and the lady who owns the bungalow is lovely and friendly and made us feel really welcome before we even arrived.
The accommodation is superb and perfect for our family of five (three children aged 7,5&2). It is tastefully furnished and very clean, with everything you could need for a self catering break. The cottage even had its own WiFi available for checking email etc.
The accommodation is centrally heated so even when the temperature dropped outside it was lovely and cosy indoors, making for a perfect winter break.
The onsite facilities were closed at this time of year, but the site is perfectly located to get to many beautiful cornish places in only a short drive. Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole are just down the road in one direction, with the historic town of Marazion and the iconic St.Michael's Mount a short drive in the other direction, or a quick drive across county takes you to St. Ives.
There is a good choice of supermarkets in Penzance so food shopping was easy to do. The owner of the accommodation also had supplied a menu from a Chinese Take away in Penzance that are happy to deliver to the site for a small delivery charge. We ordered from them TWICE whilst we were there and the food was delivered quickly.
We had a wonderful experience of this site and our superb accommodation and friendly welcome, so much so that we have already booked a return for this Christmas and also two weeks in summer 2016 with my parents joining us (they are staying at No.13.which is also available from the couple who own Cornish Cottage).
No. 16 Old Court truly does come highly recommended from me.
