We, my husband, my 21-month old daughter and I, stayed at Domaine de la Maison Neuve for one night.last week. The property is large and refurbished. The room and bathroom were both spacious, clean and well-appointed. We were provided with a baby crib (pack 'n play) and high chair for meals. The property has a large kitchen area with refrigerator, stove, microwave, etc. We were able to leave some things in the fridge and prepare a meal for our baby there, though I'm not sure if the kitchen is normally reserved for guests who are staying on that side of the house. In any case, it was very nice of Clarisse to let us use it. Clarisse, the owner, was lovely and very helpful, and we really enjoyed her homemade jams.

I would also say it is very good value for money considering that hotels in the area were just as expensive and didn't include breakfast. The property is very near to the medieval city of Loches and not far from the Chateau de Chenonceau.

Although we stayed only one night, in retrospect I wish we had stayed longer and used the Domaine as our base for traveling around the Loire.

This B&B in a quiet position just outside Loches is in a great location for visiting many of the major castles and towns in the Loire Valley. We stayed 5 nights in the ‘Peche de Vigne’ room, which is spacious, well appointed and has wonderful views across the golden corn fields and the countryside. The en-suite bathroom is also of a generous size with modern fittings and very clean. All bedrooms are upstairs and there is a guest lounge with tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. Downstairs we were able to use a dining table in the large lobby when we felt like eating in. The whole building is kept very clean and tidy. Clarisse and Stephane were excellent hosts throughout our stay and Clarisse was more than happy to help me sort out a problem with the car by talking to the hire company and the local garage. In fact, communicating with her was really easy, right from the booking phase to our departure. Our hosts were also most helpful in providing local information and suggesting places to visit in the Loire valley.
Breakfast consisted of fruit juice, croissants, fresh bread, yoghurt, butter and yummy home made jam with tea or coffee. The food was fresh and of high quality. The only thing missing, at least in my mind, was some fresh local fruit, which was abundantly available at the time, and would have made a welcome addition to the continental breakfast.
Overall, I highly recommend this B&B as a base for exploring the Loire valley.

A beautiful Chateaux farmhouse converted by the family into a scrubbed contemporary home.
The home is spectacular, guest rooms generous and spacious. Scrupulously clean, with lovely views over the countryside.
A separate lounge is available should you want it.(shared sometimes with the family)
A fantastic base for visiting the Loire Valley with its incredible Chateau's', but separate enough to have solitude.
The breakfast was very French, my only suggestion would be that this was improved by adding more fruit and some cold meat or eggs, we felt very filled with bread especially after a stint in Paris.
However there is a supermarket not far away if the need arises.
A gite is being completed where wheel chair access would be better.

We were on a honeymoon trip in several places in Europe and planned to stay 2 nights visiting the Loire valley but when saw how beautiful the place looked on the internet we added one extra night and cut away from Paris visiting time. This turned up to be more than a wise decision as the “maison” looks and FEELS even lovelier when you are there and the hosts are more then welcoming.
The house was an old stable of a castle nearby but it feels more like a castle itself! It is beautifully decorated and renovated while it still preserves some history within its walls. The room we stayed in was adorable and again decorated with style and it smelled of lavender so to say it made you feel like home would be an understatement.
The house is very near the medieval town of Loch, a very nice surprise as we weren’t expecting too much, with a castle, lots of old buildings and friendly people. From Loch, Clarisse, the host, helped us plan 2 routes to visit all that was worth visiting in that time frame. What I can recommend is the castle of Chenonceaux and the gardens of Villandry and also a lovely country village full with flowers (don’t remember the name but she will tell you). Obviously for all of this you would need a car, since driving is the only way to go around.
Another plus is the breakfast that included fresh croissants and bred with delicious homemade “confitures”. We also bought a few jars of this confiture but they were empty after a couple of weeks after our return home.
To conclude, I would definitely recommend this place and would go there again!

This is a fantastic bed and breakfast on the edge of the Loire valley that is perfect for exploring the southern and eastern chateaux such as Chenenceau, Montpoupon, and Loches. The hostess studied in San Francisco, speaks good English, and loves having English speaking visitors to help them plan their vacations. The house is a refurbished manor house sitting on a hilltop with a great view of the family farm and the countryside. The breakfast is classic French, with wonderful bread and homemade jams. Will definitely go back to this one.
