We dined on the terrace overlooking stunning Marzameni harbour. Food was intriguing and extremely tasty. Staff is very friendly but service is bit slow. It is pricey but definitely worth it, as opposed to other restaurants in town with as expensive dishes but average location/food.

I loved this place, the position has to be the winning feature, we had a table right on the clear, blue Med and it was amazing. Our food was delicious too - interesting and well considered. It's not your run-of-the-mill trattoria. The service, also faultless.

Our bill came to €74 (inc coperto) for two people, we both had a starter and a pasta dish, one glass of wine, a bottle of water plus two coffees.

'Coperto' is a bread/cover charge. This was €3 per person.

We probably had our most memorable dining experience of our trip here.

We have been on a gastronomic tour of Sicily and this restaurant was a delight to find. The menu was simple with something for every taste. To start my wife chose a Salad of the Sea and I had the Raw Sea food selection. Both dishes were presented and tasted as if they had been prepared by a multiple Michelin stared chef. The main courses were to the same standard. This was one of the least expensive resturants we visited but turned out to be the best. This is truely under rated on Trip Advisor.

Cortile Arabo

Beautiful small restaurant located behind a charming Piazza
in the picturesque shipping village of Marzemami.

The Cortile Arabo has 6 tables inside and an extensive outdoor
dining terrace which makes the most of its location
being on the outmost point of harbour entrance.

The lunch menu had a good balance of seafood, meat and pasta.
The dishes are thoughtfully created and beautiffully presented.

I had tuna stuffed with a local cheese "Piacentino Ennese" and then
coated with fine black olive breadcrumbs. This was served with a seaweed
spinach and potatoes.

My partner had a green cannelloni stuffed with cream cheese with a tangy chutney which was made fresh and was very light and beautifully presented.

The dishes at cortile are modern, however they rely heavily on local produce
giving the meals a refreshing twist on traditional Italian classics.

Far from the normal, in fact a little bit special.
Worth a visit. Lunch for 2 with water and a wine c. €40.

Marzamemi is a beautiful locality but I would imagine that come July & August it is choked with tourists. The restaurant is hidden away behind a beautiful square. The service is excellent, the food is good even though the pasta with seafood deserved a bit more of a marine element. The desert was excellent (cannolo) and the homemade chocolate with pistacchio offered as a compliment was divine. Not cheap but well worth a visit.
