Description: The Partridge Inn is set within the picturesque Goodwood Estate in the South Downs village of Singleton near the Cathedral City of Chichester, West Sussex. The building dates back to the 16th century when it would have been owned by the rich and powerful Fitzalan Earls of Arundel. Today the Partridge Inn is under new management.

It had been a while since I last visited and the pub had new management. Would it still be worth the visit? Most certainly yes. The beer was well kept, the food delicious, the wine not too pricy and the service excellent despite having starters in the garden then retreating inside for the remaining courses! Will be back....

A further visit to The Partridge was really disappointing. I had a veggie lasagne which was more like a child's portion. It was tiny and so microwaved that it had shrunk away from the edges of the dish. My fellow diners were also disappointed with their food. Sad, as I thought this place had turned a corner when the last proprietor left.

We were recommended to this backwater village pub with olde world charm by a friend who raves about it. Our party of four were not disappointed with a good lunchtime menu to choose from with generous portions when served with very little delay. The wine menu was varied and palatable. We started our meal indoors and then moved into the pleasant garden for coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful giving the pub a good ambiance.

We visit a few times each year and think the food, atmosphere and service all deserve special mention as this is a pub worthy of finding an excuse to visit. On a summer's day it can't be beaten.

Every one can have a bad day , its not that that matters but how you recover .
Took my FIL and MIL here , we booked and reserved a table for 7:30 pm on Friday , no problem . We have eaten here in the past and enjoyed it .Got our table with no issues, then the waitress says I will give you a few minutes , not seen for a very long time from that moment on wards . We have to call a young man over to take our order , he does , 5 minutes later come back and apologetically says " were you told it would be 45 minute wait" well NO we were not .
We have a discussion but as we had ordered drinks have a few full glasses left . We decide to go somewhere else so cancel the food , the waitress tries very hard to appear to forget that she mentioned nothing about the wait and not the slightest bit bothered that we ordered £16 of drinks and going to have to leave them , could nt care less for the customer .
The table next to us who ordered 5 minutes before us , got althea food as we were standing to go , ,Its a miracle .
Not one person from the MNGT came and apologised its if they don't need my money , well have no fear , you will never see it again

For the sake of £16 this establishment will never see my wallet again
