Description: The Partridge Inn is set within the picturesque Goodwood Estate in the South Downs village of Singleton near the Cathedral City of Chichester, West Sussex. The building dates back to the 16th century when it would have been owned by the rich and powerful Fitzalan Earls of Arundel. Today the Partridge Inn is transformed into a warm local pub with great character at its heart. Expect a friendly welcome from your new hosts Sarah and Mark, a relaxed atmosphere and great food.

My father and I always pop in to this lovely place for the great food, beer and hospitality. Highly recommended.

We ate twice over the Revival weekend - both times staff were fabulous friendly and helpful but we came away disappointed because of the over inflated prices - £25 for a tiny steak and about 6 chips in a basket. £6.95 for a chocolate mousse. It’s a lovely pub but we felt a bit ripped off.

Very friendly and welcoming. An ideal situation for Goodwood, Cass sculpture park, Downland museum and West Dean. The chefs are developing an interesting menu and the service was excellent despite being very busy.

My wife and called into the Partridge inn after the Goodwood revival festival just looking for something to eat before driving home , to say we struck lucky is an understatement, this fabulous pub restaurant managed to fit us in on a very busy evening and we enjoyed top quality homemade food with a great selection of Ales and an alcohol free beer for my wife which while becoming more common to me shows a thoughtful owner , we didn’t take wine but the list was well thought out and concise.

The sweet potato gnocchi was delicious and the homemade skin on chips ( ordered last minute after the food arrived) were the best I can remember.

Top job
