“Comfortable base for walkers”
Reviewed 31 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

The location was great with lovely walks straight from the accommodation but close to all the main attractions. The house was warm and comfortable for our party of 10, with plenty of space and two real fires meant that it was always warm and cosy. We did have some minor problems with the property but the owners had them sorted out immediately. It was a pity that the nearby pub was closed for renovations, otherwise it was perfect.

This is the second time we have stayed here and it just gets better each time. The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is perfect for all your family and friends to gather around and the open fire in the main lounge is simply magical.

All the rooms are decorated beautifully and the bathrooms and ensuite are modern and immaculate.

The location is perfect with walks nearby and views to die for.

The little shop caters for urgent essentials and lots of fine Ale pubs near by.

We are definitely coming back next year !!!!!!

We booked for New Years Eve weekend 2016/17. Our family consisting of 2 adults and 3 children and our friends, 4 adults and 1 child. We arrived early and the housekeeper was still cleaning and preparing the house. She was so helpful and directed us to places to eat. She lit the fires and the house was most welcoming on our return. The house had plenty of space that we never felt on top of each other. We had some lovely meals together in the kitchen and cosy evenings in front of the fires. The walks are on the houses doorstep and the pub and shop is close by. Would highly recommend this house to larger families and groups. We will definitely be booking again.

“Amazing place for a group holiday”
Reviewed 12 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

For the 2nd time a group of us aged 19-21 descended on Clifford House, travelling from all over the UK for a weeks fun. The house is incredible and well kitted out, the boot room is very useful & the showers are AMAZING (there's a really tall guy in our group who said its the first shower he's actually been able to stand under!). Having two lounges is great as we can split off or all fit into one. Its the perfect place for cozy nights in, stunning walks (we managed the Pike this year) and catching up with friends. The George at Hubberholme is serving great food as always, as is the White Lion at Cray. What a lovely place in the heart of the beautiful dales. We'll be back next year!

“Stunningly Beautiful!!!! ”
Reviewed 1 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

I booked Clifford House Farm for myself and 8 female friends all different age ranges! Booking and correspondence with Richard was so easy and problem free! All information provided was straight forward with regards to locating the house keys and use of wifi, parking etc! We arrived a Friday and stayed until Sunday! What a really enjoyable weekend had by all ladies the house is just stunning so warm and welcoming it's the type of house you can just walk into and feel like you've lived there for years!!! All amenities were on hand we honestly didn't want for anything! Layout of the house is fab plenty of space for everyone we filled all the bedrooms but it was lovely all coming together in one sitting room at night with the fire roaring!!!!! I really cannot rave about Clifford House Farm enough in the winter it's perfect to curl up in front of the open fire but can also see a summer holiday exploring the rolling countryside that just surrounds the house!!! Stunning stunning stunning!!!!! Thank you Richard for a very enjoyable weekend!!!!!

“Fabulous well equipped house in a beautiful location”
Reviewed 28 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We were a group of friends sharing. The farmhouse had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay.. Comfortable beds and cosy armchairs. Lots of space, great having two lounges. A high standard of decoration and cleanliness throughout.
There was a Beer Festival at the Buck Inn while we were there That was a bonus. Also one evening we walked to the George Inn at Hubberholme along the river and had supper

A superb recently refurbished property in a great location next to an excellent pub in a beautiful valley. All the fittings are super quality and the Aga and open fires added to the cosy but spacious atmosphere. We had a super weekend for 10 and will no doubt return
Our group has met annually for 40 years and this ranks as the best accommodation
