“Secret Gem, already planning a return trip!”

Myself and two friends stayed in the Clock Tower over a weekend in December. As we had arrived later than initially antisapated, Guy (the owner) had kindly sent a set of detailed instructions via email regarding how to enter the property and where to find things etc. The apartment is perfectly positioned and very easy to find. The building has been lovingly and simpathically restored to a high finish and with great attention to detail. The apartment is stunning with high quality furnishings and is well equipped for a self-catering stay. The view is beautiful from the balcony, the beds are super comfortable and the appartment was cosy and warm on arrival.

The next morning we set out early for a full day on the slopes. We ventured down to the cafe where we had tea/coffee. We also spoke to Jo, who gave us some great advice and made us feel very welcome. (Although the two businesses share the premises, they are not owned by the same people). The appartment is a three minute walk from the main chairlift to the slopes, we walked in our boots and carried our skis just fine.

We had dinner that evening at the restaurant downstairs, the service is great as it is quite small, so you feel they are able to offer a more personal touch. The food was excellent quality but on the more expensive side. There is a great friendly atmosphere and the food service is very efficient.

After a great nights sleep we checked out early to head out onto the slopes again. Over all our stay was great and we can't fault anything. The communication throughout with Guy was maintained and he always replied in good time to ensure we were well taken care of. We have already been in contact to arrange a return visit.

“Comfortable apartments with spectacular view and great service”

To stay here made our rainy weekend an excellent one. The apartment was the small version of what you would like to have when you are out of home. All necessary staff (expect coffee maker), clean and when you open the curtains your eyes are delighted. The plus is the service, really friendly and helpful people. A nice place to stay!

This is a very special find in Verbier. Wonderful, cosy apartment with everything you need to cook your own meal if you can tear yourself away from the delights of the cafe below. Furnished tastefully with extremely comfortable king size bed and soft bed linen. Fluffy white towels and luxury shampoo and soap in bathroom. Boot room downstairs and the walk to the ski lift is only a few minutes and takes you right to the top of Verbier, missing the queues in the morning. There is a supermarket right next door and the ski hire shop very near giving a discount. The staff were so helpful providing delicious meals and even making you a packed lunch if required.

This business is owned by a delightful English family who have skied here for many years and have put a lot of thought into making this a special place to stay. They also organise extreme sports activities for the brave!

A real find in Verbier as extremely good value for money. We have just spent a week here and will be back.

“Perfect place for a family in Verbier”
Reviewed 14 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

La Ruinette is a charming family run hotel just at the steps of Verbier. We had wonderful 4 days there this week. Comfortable, big, clean rooms. Very friendly stuff. Cosy little Cafe serving home style meals -- which for us were probably the best during our stay in Verbier! My 14-years old son had an unforgettable life experience paragliding with Stu (one of the hotel owners and among the best world gliders). We really look forward to come back and highly recommend this hotel to everybody.

“Stunning Views, Wonderful Service, I[--]ll be coming back”
Reviewed 5 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

Located only 3 mins from the train station, La Ruinette was really easy to find. It's close to bars and resturants and more importantly the bubble lift up the hill.
Customer service was exceptional, The management of the property did everything to make my stay worth while.
The apartments are clean and finished to a very high standard, The beds are amazing! Great value for your money, I was shocked to find I could stay in a place to this high standard in Vierbier for this price.
Some of the things I liked best was the incredible food and coffee offered in the cafe on the ground floor, always cool music playing and a perfect place to get the morning manditory coffee (however you like it!) and crossiant as you watch the world go by. There is a great relaxed atmosphere in the cafe and it seemed pretty busy when I got there. If you are in the area the curry night on a Friday is a must, it gets pretty busy so book early.

If you are looking for somewhere reasonably priced away from the crowds (but close enough if you wanted a night out), with stunning views and great service, and some of the best food on the hill. La Ruinette is the place to stay.
