“Just DO it!!”

You will be glad you did it, the panoramic views are spectacular! Take a water bottle and take your time. There are two pathways to take once you get up to the second stairway. The harder pathway is to take the stairs but is faster depending on how many times you stop of course. The other path has a more steady incline then gets steeper as you progress. Make sure your shoes are non-slip. Regardless the views don't get much better than this here in the beautiful eastern bay :)

This is a must for any visitors to the region - in fact we live in Rotorua and try to go there once a month - it is an hours drive and worth every second.

“Something for everyone”

It doesn't matter what age, state of fitness you are the Mount is something ANYONE can do, they even have a track that those with physical disabilities could do some of.
Anyday or time it seems someone is making the most of this awe inspiring track. The base track gives you the most wonderful view of the sea and land and is so attractive, making those who do not live in the Bay of Plenty envious!
For those more energetic the Summit Track again is ALWAYS busy but why wouldn't you tackle that and see the AMAZING paradise we live in! The long stretching beach and coastline, sometimes puffs from White Island, views to the Coromandel and all of the Bay of Plenty just superb. Talk about feeling like a seagull soaring over the BEST VIEW ever.
Well signposted and places to stop for photos, always something to see albeit hang gliders, parachuting, boat races, container ships etc etc.
NEVER tire of this and one of the BEST anywhere attractions to visit.

“Blood pumping. Camera clicking”

Delightful free natural geographical feature. A refreshing walk which will definitely get the heart rate up. On the way up as well as on top are many vantage points for a beautiful view of the city, port and ocean. Also view some of New Zealand's native vegetation and bird life. Lots of lovely shops and cafe's nearby in area to treat yourself afterwards. Found the public spa and pool area a refreshing reward afterwards. Loved it
Good points:
Tracks well marked and well maintained.
Fresh air beautiful scenery.
Some park benches on the way

Bad points:
No toilets, drink fountains or bins once your on summit track .
Quiet strenuous in spots with many stairs, not for the disabled, unfit etc small children might struggle
