Our Grab One voucher provided for two lunch or breakfast meals. I ordered the vegetarian stack, specifying gluten free bread, and my husband ordered the vegetarian salad. We noted that there were plenty of options for us as gluten-sensitive vegetarians. The waitress politely pointed out that gluten-free bread had a small surcharge above and beyond the voucher; we were expecting this as this in normal practice, but we appreciated it being brought to our attention.
The meals took quite a while to come, but when they arrived they were worth it. The vegetarian stack was delicious - the gluten-free toast was good-quality fruit bread, and the mix of vegetables, caramalised onion and sun-dried tomato pesto with a little feta, topped with perfectly poached eggs, made for a really interesting combination. My husband really enjoyed his salad, which was plentiful and an interesting blend of tastes.
It is a pity that Summer Sands does not have a better view and a bit of ambience; this is the second time we have eaten here and the food really is good (and the waitress very nice). It's a shame that it is not much busier than it is, and I can only assume that this is because of the location around the corner from the sea view.
