We visited the hotel with friends for a pre-Christmas get together. We arrived a bit early but were welcomed very warmly and they even opened up the bar just for us. Our rooms were very good, clean and spacious (and we actually had a real key not a piece of plastic).
The breakfast was brilliant, plentiful and hot.
The only down sides were it took quite a while for the hot water to come through for the shower and there was no heating in our bathroom so we had to leave the bedroom door open overnight.
We will certainly return if we are ever in the area again. Thank You

Recently spent 1 night at the Datchet Mead Hotel when visiting London (War Horse - Very good, incidentally). Room was nice, clean and spacious. En-suite a bit on the small side, but adequate. Breakfast was not buffet style as I hoped, but I must say it was the freshest, hottest hotel breakfast I ever had. No seconds, more the pity, but loads of toast on hand. Only slight negative was the mild curry smell in the reception area. Would be interested to know if this is permanent or a one off. Approx 5 mins drive to M4 junction 5, then we drove to hounslow West tube station to park the car (free at weekends) so convenient location. Overall, a very good 4 out of 5.

Room Tip: Room 1 is nice - at the back, overlooking the garden.

This is an excellent hotel, only about 15 mins away from the Royal Holloway University, which was also amazing and the reason for our journey. I had booked a family room for my husband, our 18 yr old daughter and myself. On arrival, we were met by a very friendly and welcoming young lady who, because there was room available, offered us a double and a single room, instead... at no extra cost!!!

Room No 1 (ours) was very spacious, clean and with quality fitted furniture and leather chairs. Bed was very comfortable. En-suite shower room was small but perfectly adequate.

Room No 7 (daughter's) A smaller room, but again, very clean with quality fitted furniture. Our daughter says the double bed was extremely comfortable and the en-suite shower was 'amazing'! She also made use of the internet and said it was easy to find and very fast.

Breakfast was brilliant. We were in a desperate hurry but the staff were up for the challenge. Although they hurried it up for us, it was freshly cooked and no detriment to presentation or taste.

Staff were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. If our daughter does go to Royal Holloway, we would definitely use this hotel when visiting her.

Stayed here recently for a week on business and can only congratulate the owners and staff on what is a great value hotel in a super location. Great value in the sense that it is nearly half the price of the Marriott Hotel a few miles away, where Wi-Fi access will cost you the princely sum of £15/day! Super location in that is a few miles away from Eton and Windsor, where hotel prices are high and many of dubious quality; I should know, I've stayed in four of them. The Datchet Mead may not look that great from the outside but my room was excellent, being clean and spacious and the free Wi-Fi only added to the experience. Breakfasts were excellent and served up by the friendly and beautiful Julie, who has a wealth of knowledge about the local area and nothing is a problem.

Room Tip: I used the taxi firm recommended by the Hotel and found they were the cheapest; just ask at receptio...

Having just returned to Heathrow we wanted somewhere near the airport. Phoned from Australia and was sent an email confirmation straight away. On arrival we were shown to our room - we were the only people staying. Initially cold in the bedroom but radiator and aircon switched on and it was warm very quickly. Bathroom was lovely with big bottles of shampoo and shower gel in the shower, instead of these horrible little sachets. The bed was really comfortable and though we were jet-lagged we had a good rest. The breakfast the next morning was superb and the dining room is ultra modern. The only thing lacking were other guests. Would definitely return, particularly as they offer parking for the duration of your holiday should you be flying from Heathrow!

Room Tip: Ours was room 2 at the back - nice and quiet

So close to Windsor where prices can be exorbitant; this family run hotel is a find.Friendly welcome , comfortable bedroom , modest size but adequate ensuite, all very clean; excellent breakfast prepared just as you wish, smiling service from "Julie";to our requests she would answer with the usual boring "no problem" but instead would say with a smile "I can do that for you". The parking is free and plentiful.Yes there is a background noise from the nearby motorway, but nothing to disturb our sleep and Daljit can help with any other matter again with a smile.

I was on a budget weekend with a couple of friends, so we booked a triple room. On arriving we were told that the hotel wasn't full, so we could have an extra room (if we liked) at no extra cost! We were given a very friendly welcome and given advice and phone numbers for taxis etc.
The rooms were clean, comfortable and well kitted out - and one had a lovely view of Windsor Castle - bonus!
The breakfast was fantastic with a great selection to choose from, and it's the first hotel breakfast I've had where the toast was served hot! We got rather involved in a long conversation and stayed at the table until all other guests were long gone - but were never asked to leave the dining room or made to feel anything other than welcome.
The location is very convenient for the motorway, but is very quiet.
Thoroughly recommended - we'll be back.
