Pros: A great hike out to see a beautiful waterfall. The whole trail is worth walking, as the views from the lower viewpoints are better than the upper viewpoint.

Cons: Steep in some places. Near the beginning of the trail there were quite a few mosquitoes.

It's a 5min drive of the main highway to get to the car park for the falls. The road is a track so best to go careful when you don't have an off-roader (like us). The falls themselves are about a 45min hike through some beautiful forest, which steady ascends as you get nearer. It is a magnificent sight to see - watching so much water moving with such force. Definitely a highlight of the trip! Remember your mosquito spray though...

We drove in the _2km off the highway and it is about 1.8km of hiking (very easy hike) to the falls. It was a lovely walk, good footing and lovely wildflowers along the trail. There is a washroom in the parking area also. The falls are quite stunning to see.

We stopped here as the Takkakaw falls were closed and enjoyed our walk here. The signs for the car park are not that easy to spot so keep your eyes peeled! From there it is a short and simple walk to the falls which are large and powerful. There is a short steep walk to get to and from the bottom of the falls to get some photos.

We headed to Wapta Falls to do a short hike before heading east along the highway. This is an easy hike and when we visited in June the falls was full of the spring run off from the mountains. It is a lovely walk and well worth the stop.
