Well this hotel considering it is part of the Hilton chain was not what we expected. The family room we had was quite small (we've had bigger rooms in B&B's) you could here everything going on in the other rooms around you and i'm mean everything. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable, the floor would have been more comfortable with a couple of cushions. The carpets throughout the corridors are awful, non of which are even, so it's easy for small children to trip up. Throughout our stay there was a Yellow 'caution wet floor' sign in one of the corridors, WHY?????? Word of warning when your having breakfast make sure you leave someone at your table otherwise your be walking back to your table with breakfast to find it's being cleared away so then we had to be re-seated. Overall i would say there is a lot that could be done to bring it up to a higher standard, quite over priced for what it is.

Beautiful location – surrounded by nicely landscaped hilly gardens. Newly refurbished rooms, but the rooms are tiny and you get the general feeling that everything is squeezed – even in the restaurant. Rooms are generally clean, but I did found relatively big spider net on the skylight. Good breakfast and I love one of those warm Double Tree cookies you get when checking in!

We booked this to celebrate my husbands birthday, staying just one night in a junior suite with spa treatments and dinner in MPW. Check in was fine, our room was ready early and we were pleased with it. The view is okay but I wouldn't have commented on it other than everyone else does! The hotel is quite big and I probably should have factored this in when I booked. There were 2 weddings, a birthday party and several 'spa day' groups and I think it was this which made our experience so impersonal and lacking atmosphere. All of the staff were professional and accommodating and not at fault in anyway. We would not return as we felt it was simply too busy and too commercial.

Stayed here in May this year, really enjoyed it! Found this hotel quite easily, it's in a lovely little village just outside Bristol. it looks stunning, great views and staff are really helpful- couldn't do enough for us. When we arrived we received our cookie :) got a full low down on the hotel and dining times ect. Our room was lovely- we had a view of the Bristol Channel the bed was huge and really comfortable, the bathroom was nicely kept and the standard of the room overall was great. Only trouble with this stay was the cost of taxi's into town!! Bar staff really friendly, meal was nice and whenever we needed anything else it was no hassle. Breakfast was nice, had everything you could want but one downside was we seem to have been served by a staff member who wasn't having a good day, everything we asked for (only for where the juice was kept and some cutlery!) seemed to be hassle and she didn't come across like she could really be bothered....we didn't let this affect us though, it was too sunny outside!! Highly recommended all round and really impressed with it :)

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the front :)

Great views looking right across to Wales .Modern hotel added on to old manor house.Very comfortable and clean if lacking a little in character verging on being a boutique hotel with some interesting features.Breakfast typical big chain buffet but decent quality ingredients .Our evening meal was at a function and a little disappointing .Staff however were most helpful.

Room Tip: We were in old part that was very nice

The hotel and restaurant teams went out of their way to ensure our stay was special. One just to note - The hotel can remain quite noisy until the early hours, which was fine with us but I'm sure others would have an issue with.
