We stayed one night as we were driving to Costa del Sol and wanted to check out the Marbella area.. ..well we came late . . ..

The resort is a timeshare complex which is pleasant, beachfront and seems to attract Brits, Germans and children . .. . .which is fine as there were plenty of spaces to soak up some sun and all the guests seemed respectful and relatively quiet and pleasant. As a couple we felt the resort was fine for our needs but if we had children we definitely would like to come here as the rooms had kitchens/washer/driers and excellent amenities such as wonderful coffee/espresso makers ,. .. this is a great place to come if you want to have access to kitchen etc and have children.

The beach and restaurants were great and there was plenty of parking for guests. As other trip advisor reviewers have raved this is a wonderful resort and we would return here as for technically a 3 star it was more of a 4, 4.5 star as it had an abundance of amenities... .great resort!

kudos to friendly staff (Fatima at check in was great and very helpful!)

This is a very comfortable resort. You will sleep well here, it is quiet, except for the sound of the waves from the beach. It is spotlessly clean and everything works. The service from the staff is second to none. Any issues with your apartment, house keeping etc, will be immediately resolved. The kids club and activities staff are the best anywhere. Very professional in every respect. The location is superb, right on a very nice beach and close to may good restaurants and shops. The on site mini market is very good and provides easy access to all the essentials for your apartment. Very good indoor adults pool and the same applies to the kids indoor pool. Excellent gym and fitness activities. Even though this is our fifth trip to the resort, we still mostly avoid the on site restaurants and catering. I can never forget the worst chicken wings ever in Charlie's bar and the service in the Chill bar is not up to the rest of the resort standard. The pool bar service is poor, with almost always a slow line for service. But with so many really good close by local bars and restaurants, we do not find this a problem. My only other gripe is that, the smell of fried food from the pool bar, constantly wafts over the sun lounger area that is downwind. The filtration of the exhaust fumes or the height of the extractor stack, needs to be addressed.

We stayed as a family of four in Easter school holidays in a two bedroomed appt which was huge! Each bedroom had its own bathroom and there was a separate utility room with washing machine ( tablets supplied ) tumble dryer, clothes horse and iron in.
The kitchen is fully equipped from cutlery / plates and a coffee maker to pots/pans to even a food blender! Some washing up liquid is supplied along with numerous dish washing tablets for the dishwasher.
We made our own breakfasts daily and also cooked a couple of amazing seafood meals during our five nights.

On site market place sells fresh bread and coffee daily but prices are not cheap! There's a place called Elviria about 15 minutes walk where there's a large super sol supermarket where there's more fresh produce and prices a lot more reasonable. There are also many restaurants there too. We tried some tapas there which was delicious!

Beware taxis are expensive! More expensive on Saturdays and much more on Sundays! We used sun transfers for airport transfer which was around €100 cheaper for our party of 8, than two taxis return ( around €60-65 each car each way ).
Taxi to marbella town centre €15 ( we got bus there at €1.55 each and taxi back ). Puerto banus market on Saturday was an eye watering €30 taxi fare each way!

La canada shopping mall - huge place with plenty of reasonably priced restaurants was €17 by taxi. Mango and Zara seemed cheaper than uk. We ate at M.woks oriental buffet which was excellent value at €9.95 for lunch and a huge choice of made to order tepenyaki seafood and meat! There's a huge supermarket there where we purchased fresh prawns, fish and meat.

Didn't try on site restaurants in Marriott but did go to Cristina's beach restaurant twice. This is found going left at Marriott beach gate. A lovely buzzing place with superb food and fast efficient service! We had seafood mixed grill which was delicious but at €26.95 not cheap.

There are lots of free activities for adults and families here daily so you're never bored. Theres an unheated outdoor family pool near the beach which is always busy. The indoor family pool is warm though. On the beach a sun lounger charged at a shocking €6 per day. This fee we found is enforced!

Had a 'meeting' with someone from the resort to see if we d be interested in time share but it was a no pressure chat and we got a complimentary bottle of wine!

In summary a beautiful place to stay with fantastic facilities, beautiful gardens and superb English speaking staff but without a car everything is quite far to get to!

We stayed in Marbella Beach resort on summer vacation, it was a great experience. The apartments are well equipped and maintained; so it's very convenient for families with kids. There was a kids club with a lot of activities, very nice outdoor pool, indoor lap pool, playing area. The beach is very nice as well, it is just next to Don Carlos hotel with beautiful gardens nice for a walk and Nikki beach with an array of adult entairtainments .

Room Tip: choosing the room depends whether you want to be near the pool which is the center of attraction and convenient with kids or in a calmer further spot.

Second time staying here and shall be back again in few months. Lovely resort which is only a short drive to popular attractions around the Marbella area.

Plenty to do on-site and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Whilst we was here last time the weather wasn't that great so the family indoor pool became very useful. The resort is right on the beach so it is nice to look out at the sea views.

They accommodate everyone so not only is there the outdoor pool and indoor pools for families they have an outdoor and indoor pool for adults only for those that like a bit a of quite whilst relaxing by the pool.

The apartments are very spacious and have everything you need if you would rather stay in and cook your own meals.

Looking forward to returning!
