We had our holiday in July 2013, we booked our holiday home at the site through direct holiday homes (http://www.directholidayhomes.co.uk/prop_ref_1746.html) The lady was very informative and very helpful. The site was beautiful and in a lovely small rustic French village. The weather was glorious and was on average late thirty's everyday. The site has a pool with a shallow area for our little ones. Lots of loungers were always available around the pool. We spent a lot of time by the pool as the weather was so warm. The bar was lovely and cool and the English spoken lady behind the bar was lovely and friendly. Bernard the site owner was very helpful and friendly and tried his best to speak to us in English but we enjoyed trying to speak to him in French! The French language is so beautiful that it is a joy to hear. The entertainment was very good, we had a few disco's in the evenings and there was entertainment in the day, the gym sessions in the morning were eventful! The caravan we stayed in was very comfortable and had everything we needed, we showered in the shower blocks that were very clean. We spent most of the time on the decking though enjoying the warm weather. We could see the pool from the decking so we could keep a close eye on the children while they were playing in the pool. The area is beautiful a 20 minute walk along the canal will get you to the nearest supermarket, an extra 10 minutes and you are in Lalinde which is a lovely rustic town, with various shops, restaurants and cafes. The walk to Lalinde is beautiful as it is along a canal and many locals fish along there, so there is a lot on 'Bonjours'. Everybody in this part of France are very friendly and will address you with hello, how are you etc. It is so nice. There are two convenience shops, bakers, hairdressers, and two restaurants which are very good. The hotel in the village is lovely and the food is gorgeous the seating area out the back is lovely. During our stay there was a marche which was great, its like a village carnival, they have this on a Monday evening every other week by the river. The band is great, they have marche's in most villagers every other week in the area. If you like to relax in a warm, sunny and untouched part of the world then this is the holiday for you, it has everything for anybody, we are returning next year and can't wait!More
