Had original planned to stay for 3 days but decided to extend our stay for additional 3 days. The lodge is locate 20 km from Chiang Mai and is for guests that will enjoy time in a peaceful location. The time spend here was one of the highlight of the time spend in Thailand. The owners are very helpful and easy to understand. We enjoyed their talks about the lodge, sights in Chiang Mai, their life and the situation in Thailand. Transfer service in and out of Chiang Mai worked very well. The lodge offer a very good value and quality for a good price and we will defiantly consider staying here another time.

Lovely place to stay when visiting Chiang Mai (short bus ride away from city centre) – peaceful place in the countryside (which worked for us as we arrived after 2 nights in Bangkok!). You will really feel relaxed and away from it all here. Bungalows are of high quality, we stayed in the new ones up on a slight hill which overlooked the entire lodge.

Best feature about this lodge by far are the hosts – Panom and Petchara are welcoming and provide a level of personal service I never experienced in my list of travels. As they themselves own and organise various options of guided tours they can be flexible on your ideas of where/when to go and what to see. Transfer between places can be organized by them at a very competitive rate (note that lunch and travel are already provided with guided tours).

We went to Thailand on our honeymoon and by far – Chiang Mai will be the one place we will remember the most because of Ban Rai Tin Thai Ngarm Eco Lodge and their attentive hosts. Thank you Panom and Petchara for a lovely stay.

Petchara and Panom are perfect hosts couldn't do enough for us. They welcome you on arrival to your "home" rather then a hotel!
Petchara extends warm hospitality and looked after us from start to finish with lovely traditional food. Panom took us on wonderful trips to Royal Palaces, Buddhist Temples, Mountains, Water Falls, Local Markets, and Elephant shows. Having once been a Buddhist Monk his knowledge is outstanding and it makes the tours much more interesting. The accommodation is Excellent - everything you need for your stay in beautiful grounds. It's a little piece of Paradise......and tremendous value for money. We have some Very happy memories of our stay.

If you want peace and quiet away from the hectic life in Chiang Mai then this is it! The warm welcome from Petchara and Panom together with their helpfulness and relaxing, informal charm makes this a very special place to be.Eat delicious simple Thai food that you can cook yourself. Sit amongst nature, there are private spaces to relax around the gardens. In walking distance of a good cafe for delicious cakes and coffee as well as a walk around the local area, stop off at the meditation centre where the monk is happy to show you around. . You can book things to do and see from here particularly if you want to visit a working hill tribe village rather than one set up for tourists. Recommend without hesitation.

Room Tip: All are beautiful, some open onto the gardens we choose to be up in the newer bungalows with mountain...

We stayed a week at Petchara's and Panom's lodge in Mai Rim outside of Chiang Mai. We awoke in our comfortable cottage to the sound of birds, and alternated our days between tours arranged by their Thai Culture Holidays, and resting, reading and walking and eating at the Lodge. Petchara and Panom treated us as neighbors and family and shared their knowledge of Thai culture, food, religion and politics. We visited the temple where Panom had been a monk, and joined Petchara in the kitchen preparing our meals. Everything was arranged to fit our wishes and abilities. Both of us were sad to leave the warm and welcoming Ban Rai Tin Thai Ngarm Eco Lodge and hope to return and stay longer..

Room Tip: The higher cottages have a better view, and the lower older cottages are more accessible to the dini...

Panom and Petchara, the owners are so helpful and welcoming and contribute to the peace and serenity of this perfect place.

The bungalows are excellent, the food is good and you can help cook it to learn Thai cooking. Nothing is too much trouble. They also organise excellent trips. Lovely and quiet and dark at night, such a change from other places.

Stay here! You won't regret it ad it is near all the attractions

Room Tip: The new bungalows on the hill are superb,

we spent 9 days in a newly built bangalow and had a great time, far enough from the city to allow quiet sleep and relaxation, walk along the rice fields yet able to reach the city reasonably easily and cheaply if using thai local transport.
It was perfect for what we were looking for.
Panom and Petchara did provide us with unmatched introduction to the Thai culture , food to spirituality, history to cooking.
Amazing.We can highly recommend.
