“5 stars all the way.....”

We just returned from our trip to thailand and our stay at Lana Thai Villa was truly memorable. First I appreciated how easy it was to communicate with the staff both before and during our visit. Everything during our stay was seamless. Mr. Nui, the manager, helped us arrange all of our activities and babysitting plans. We always felt taken care of. We went with our toddler and she was greeted with smiles and patience. Loved the pool at the four seasons and the dessert was delicious. They also have a very nice gift store. I liked the location since it was close to a lot of the activities we wanted to do-- including the mae sa elephants and botanical garden. Truly a special place.

Room Tip: The Chinese room was beautiful.

We rented the whole of residence 7 which is the 3rd floor of the villa for 9 nights in July. The rooms were fantastic. Very well done out with authentic furniture. Private balconies on the Chinese and Balinese rooms where continental breakfast was served by Mr Nui every morning. Mr Nui is the property manager and nothing was too much trouble for him. He advised us on what to do and where to go to make our stay perfect.
The fact that the villa is set in the grounds of the Four Seasons, which is the most tranquil of settings, makes the stay even more attractive as you can use all of the Four Seasons facilities but at a fraction of the price. The owner, Mr Henry, provided information of where to eat, what to do and arranged airport pickup and even a hire car for us.
I cannot recommend this place enough and it has to go down as the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. I will definitely be returning here.

Lana Thai is the best of all worlds: the privacy of a home, the resources of the 4 Seasons and the beauty of Northern Thailand. The staff will make you feel comfortable and are skilled in filling your needs. Chiang Mai is rich in Thai culture and the area is exciting to explore. We have been fortunate to have three stays at Lana Thai; each visit has lasted a little longer. Returning is like a visit to see old friends. Lana Thai has simply become our favorite destination in the world!

We wanted to experience a piece of the old world so off we go to Chiang Mai, the ancient capital city of the Lanna kingdom. My wife and I stayed four days at the Balinese residence at the Four Seasons and it turned out to be an amazing four days break that we were looking for.

Nested in the rustic countryside 30 minuntes North of Chiang Mai, the resort is totally awesome and captured the local ambience including terrace rice field amid a small lake and water buffalo. This is no ordinary resort. The villa is spacious and surrounded by lush greenery. Taking old style breakfast at the sala (Thai for pavillion) and hearing the chirping of song birds accompanied by the symphony of cicadas sets one up for the morning walks and the rest of the day's activities. There are also plenty of things to see or do around the resort and a compliment of good roadside eateries and restaurants. We especially liked the Tom Yum soup dish at the Ba Ba Black restaurant across the road from the resort. We watched big elephants paint pictures with their trunks and rode on elephant around the hills. Some interesting hilltribes and ancient temples that are must see for the first timers. Many more attractions as you head into the city as well.

If you are craving for an old world adventure, this is the place to go to leave all your worries behind.

After a tiring 8 hour trip to get to Chiang Mai and Mae Rim, it was absolutely refreshing to step into this beautifully decorated villa right in the middle of the luxurious 4 seasons compound. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated with antiques, clean and had personal touches, like handmade ginger soap.. Breakfast in the veranda was something to look forward to each morning.. Nui, the residence manager, was amazing... He helped us with everything, from buying food for us when we didn't feel like going out, translate thai food recipes into english for my mum etc.. In the four seasons compound, the gardens were immaculate and the pool had a great view. It was definitely a luxurious holiday and made our whole family very relaxed..

Room Tip: The Balinese room was extra beautiful..

We have just had a relaxing 4 days in the Chinese suite at lana villa.
If you want a peaceful relaxing break away from everything just with nature this is the best place.
Thank you Nui for your efficient service and for making us feel so at home.
The little restaurant and coffee shop a short walk away called Baa Baa Black is the best for cheap tasty food. Everything we had there was so good. Had lunch and dinner there and could not fault anything. Sam and his staff are very friendly.
We ate at the four seasons buffet dinner which was so expensive.
Everything the others have said covers it all.
Enjoy walking in the grounds at night when it is all lit up beautifully.

Room Tip: Chinese room was great.
