This is our third time to stay in this lovely place over the past 5 years, from unmarried, to married and with one 3 years old kid. Special thanks to the owner - Mr. Henry Michel for his professional advices and helps! We enjoyed every moment in LANA THAI VILLA, especially our little one - Emma she enjoyed a lot in the kid club and swimming pool. Emma was very excited all the time during our stay.

Mr. Michel helped us to rent a car which made us more convenient and flexible to explore places nearby. It is easy to drive around the hotel. We went out to lunch and dinner every day. We visited elephant camp, monkey centre, tiger kingdom and fruit farm. The TITA Gallery and home-made coconut ice cream restaurant are worthy to go again in our next stay.

We loved walking in the garden, which is quiet, peaceful and full of insect & bird sounds. We woke up every morning by sunshine and we saw blue sky every day. We had our breakfast provided by the hotel Manager - Mr. Nui every morning in the balcony.

It is hard for me to express all the feelings by words. It is highly recommended to stay in this place if you plan to go to Chiangmai. I am sure you will love it. We are eager to stay in this place again in the near future.

This is our sixth stay at Lana Thai over the last 10 years, and each time when it comes time to leave we just want to stay longer. Situated within the great Four Seasons complex, Lana Thai is literally a two minutes walk to all of the Four Seasons amenities and 25 minutes to downtown Chiang Mai. Complete with a full time butler this beautifully appointed home is about as relaxing as it comes

We had the pleasure of spending 3 wonderful nights at Mr. Henry's private residence number 7 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chiang Mai. We stayed in the Chinese suite with covered veranda, which was spacious, nicely appointed, and very comfortable. Slippers and robes were provided along with complimentary fruit and bottled water in the room.

The manager, Mr. Nui was extremely helpful and professional. He assisted us with reservations, round trip transport, and getting a local driver/guide. It was very nice enjoying continental breakfast on the covered porch, even one day when it rained. Mr. Nui served us toast, warm croissants, fresh fruit platter, cereals, fresh juices, and coffee/tea.

The Four Seasons resort grounds are stunning with rice paddies, flowers, plants, rice barns, water buffalo, two swimming pools, spa, and restaurants. Also, we had the opportunity to use a 3rd pool for the private residences (for Lana Thai villa residents and other private residents). All lovely. We took a cooking class at Four Seasons, which was fantastic! We participated in yoga and in rice planting, the latter was very interesting. Also, we enjoyed spa treatments at the hotel. The restaurant meals were very good, as well as the staff.

The location of Lana Thai Villas is close to many attractions with a short drive such as Masae elephant farm, Tiger Kingdom, Elephant poo poo paper factory, hill tribe village, etc. One morning we additionally walked 5-10 minutes to Bai orchid/butterfly centre.

Lana Thai Villa/Four Seasons and the area was a highlight of our visit to Thailand. Highly recommended!

Thank you Mr. Henry and Mr. Nui!!!

We enjoyed our two night stay enormously. The rooms are tasteful (antiques rather than modern) and the view from the balcony lovely. The breakfast was good - our cornflakes were crisp (unlike the reviewer below) - with delicious fresh fruit and hot croissant.

As other reviewers have said, Khun Nui is never far away and is very helpful. He really is a joy. The owner was also very quick to respond by email to all my queries.

We stayed in the Chinese suite which is larger. Rooms come with wifi, TV and DVD (which we used to keep our son entertained whilst unpacking and packing), great smelling shampoo and conditioner, and a safe.

You have access to the Four Seasons hotel pool (which gets very hot from about 10 am onwards) or the 'residents' pool which is much more shaded and is only a few minutes walk away.

The grounds of the Four Seasons are very fine and the staff there are very kind and welcoming (even though you are not a hotel guest).

One consideration - there are a number of steps up to the Lana Thai Villa which is on the 1st/2nd (depending on where you come from inthe world) level of a large house. This was not a problem for us - and my three year old son could manage it - but this may not be suitable for all.

The grounds of the four seasons are breathtaking. Set in the mountainous jungle in Chiang Mai amidst a few rice paddies and pongs is this incredible hotel. This Villa provides a great opportunity to stay in this area at a fraction of the cost of a standard room. The room is dated and could use a renovation, but really you are here to spend time on the grounds. The owner was responsive on email when booking which was much appreciated. The manager Khun Nui was a wonderful individual - so willing to help and very gentle in his manner. Breakfast was limited - soggy cereal (hard given the humidity, I know), yogurt, juice and bread; but adequate to get the day started. We were kindly given a room upgrade to the Chinese Suite which allowed use to enjoy breakfast on the patio overlooking the grounds. Thank you to Michel and Khun Nui for the hospitality.
