A privately owned villa on the four seasons property. Great rates and you can use all the four seasons facilities. The resort itself is phenomenal...and the villa rooms very nice. The balconies are brilliant. Tastefully done. Great service from the caretaker. They also have recommendations for drivers...who are all very good. Will make a 2nd trip for sure.

My wife and i have just spent two weeks at the Lana Thai, in the Chinese suite, and what a treat it was. The room is huge and has a fantastic view of the grounds and lake of the four seasons hotel. Breakfast is served on the balconey every morning at a time that suits. we were a bit nervous when we booked as we normally book through an agent.
We neednt of worried as the comms when booking were clear and everything was very organised, When we arrived at Chang Mai Airport, a driver was waiting for us in arrivals, and took us straight to the hotel. The hotel is fantastic and all the staff are wonderful and polite and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We had full use of all the facilities of the four seasons without having to pay four seasons prices! Our best holiday yet!

This was my second visit to the Lana Thai Villas since October, 2004. I brought a friend of mine to experience the most wonderful time of her life and to enjoy the most beautiful villas that I have stayed in. I would recommend these beautiful villas to anyone who would decide to travel to Chaing Mai, Thailand. The villas are clean, spacious and have the most spectacular view of the grounds at the Four Seasons Resort. Our resident manager, Mr. Kuhn Hui provided all of our needs in the most gracious and kindly manner that any resident of the villas could expect. All of our travel needs for sightseeing were met beyond expectation. The food was exceptional and the staff were kind and attended to your every need in the most professional manner. The spa is the most beautiful spa that I have seen, being a traveler to other parts of Asia over the past five years. I will definitely make the Lana Thai Villas a part of my vacation travels next year.

We stayed in the Chinese Room for a week with our 11 months old twins. And it was just lovely. The room is very spacious, so it was no problem having two baby cots (they arranged them from the four seasons) inside, and a nice balcony where we had breakfast in the morning and where we could sit at night without leaving the kids alone but not disturbing them either.
The only inconvenience was that we didn t have high chairs to make them eat (but that was a minor problem). And the room doesn t have a bath tub, but we knew about it before going there - so no problem either.
The four seasons is a great resort and being there not having to pay the high price of the resort itself is great.
The manager of the villa, kuh nui was lovely and arranged everything we needed - the driver, gave us advice for eating, etc.
Concerning dinner - the four seasons has quite a good thai restaurant but also quite expensive - there is a nice restaurant just down the road - bamboo grove which is also quite good, the food stalls just at the entrance of the four seasons resort are really good for fried rice or fried noodles at real thai style.
we managed to visit quite a lot and also have time to spend at the swimming pool and the playroom for the kids (that s very nice especially for older kids they organize quite a lot).
all in all we would definitely recommend the lana thai villa and also because people are very friendly there but already before leaving when we had a question, the owner always answered right away.

As one of our last trips before we would leave the Asian continent after living there for three and a half years, we chose Lana Thai Villa because we wanted to experience something different than the other amazing, though more regular resorts. And that we got. In this review I will add some new insights; I can only agree with the positives from the other reviews written so I will not repeat what's been written before.

When you book the Lana Thai Villa, you already get the feeling that you are going to stay at a friend instead of a resort. It was all very friendly and personal and you just feel very welcome. Because of personal circumstances we missed our initial flight; I was quite stressed out about rebooking everything, but the owner was so very friendly and we could change it to the next available date without any costs. That was very impressive.

When we arrived a few days later it was all aws and ahhs. We booked the Chinese Suite. The suite is beautifully decorated; all very carefully selected unique pieces of furniture and decoration. The room is called a suite, but besides the outside sala / balcony, there is no separate living area attached to the sleeping area. As we have a baby we normally book a suite so we can still enjoy the evening watching a movie or something when the baby is sleeping. So this is not possible here; however, the sala is so relaxing and beautiful that all you want to do is enjoy the evening reading a book or have a nice drink.
The first evening we ordered room service from the Four Seasons. The food was beautiful. We ordered the food after the baby went to sleep and only asked ourselves after we made the order how the food would be brought in without waking up the baby. But our worries were unnecessary as they came via the 'backdoor' directly to the sala. The manager mr Nui let them in! Fantastic!

Breakfast is simple but tasty. The amenities are good; all the basics are there. There was even a children's cup next to the glasses on the mini bar. The baby cot was provided by the Four Seasons which had the cutest bedding ever. The only thing I missed were shower gel and body lotion. There is soap but I guess I am spoiled and I never bring these things with me. So I would for a next time, because we would love to go back some time.
