Andy made us really welcome and after that came a treat! We have tried tapas in various locations across Spain in traditional tapas bars and this place certainly did not disappoint. 'Surprising' because it isn't Spanish-owned. You get freshly-prepared tapas or a menu choice which looked really tempting - providing choices for the typically British visitor. The tapas was amazingly good and I couldn't resist the homemade apple crumble and custard which was superb. Andy and his staff deserve a pat on the back for providing a really good mix of Spanish and British choices, and they also deserve a visit from visitors to Calahonda and other Mijas Costa places. The wine was fine - and another surprising thing: we had a good selection of tapas for two, two glasses of wine each and one big helping of apple crumble - the cost? 19 Euros!!!!
Superb value. Support this unique little tapas place if you can. (Close to the main road but don't let this put you off!
