“Paradise just an hour and a boat ride from Auckland”
Reviewed 26 August 2012

What a fantastic place to just chill with a few adventures on your door step. Lots of walks and exploring. Hosts are warm, knowledgeable and serve great food. As Dave owns the local boat charter business it's all a bit easy getting to and from. A lovely weekend was had :-)

Kawau Lodge is a place to relax, read a book and unwind or a place to walk, kayak, sail, catch a snapper(fish) ...it's up to you and Dave and Helen make it all possible.
Immaculate rooms with spectacular views, genial hosts at the dinner table, tasty food made by the "foodie" Helen. Fishing or sailing, Dave is the expert who will entertain you.
Change the bright lights and the traffic noise for starlit skies and birdsong and go home feeling refreshed.
Thanks Dave and Helen, we'll be back at Christmas

Thank you both Dave & Helen for a wonderful week-end (our stay was from Friday (in) to Wednesday (out) - 5nights).
The weather was fantastic as was your company, food and always helpful guidance.

We had such a fantastic time it was truly hard to leave as we chose to do nothing to but relax with easy walks, kayaking, bit of reading or DVDs or just watching the world go by.

We did also appreciated sharing dinner, a wine or two and a tale with you in the evenings and with our breakfasts on the sunny deck overlooking the quite North Cove set the scene for a flat out day of unwinding
Your transporting of us to & fro from the island and Manson House was so easy allowing us to explore your wonderful & beautiful island
