Our first time at Athelington Hall Log Cabins and what an absolute dream. If your looking for club 18-30 then this is not the place to go. When we arrived we were met by a lovely polite young girl who gave us the run down on the facilities within the grounds, the cabins are very clean and surprisingly spacious, the hot tub is to die for especially at night under the stars of Suffolk, be aware you will be visited by Meg an old border collie who's probably been there longer than the cabins and will accept a treat with relish. On waking up in the morning its a pleasant surprise to here woodpeckers and wood pigeons. Local town of Diss has a couple of good butchers as well as the supermarkets and also cafe's and eateries. All round if you're looking for somewhere to relax, read a book and unwind then look no further than Athelington Hall.

Room Tip: Cabins at either end are more private.

Last time stayed in chestnut cabin which was great. Thought we'd upgrade to cedar elite cabin 1. Even better!! The sauna, the hot tub and the cabin so clean and cosy. The weather just topped it off. So peaceful just relaxing on the decking and in the hot tub. We will definitely be back for a 3rd time.

Stayed on a mid week break. Stayed in an elite 1 bed cabin and it was just adorable-Sauna and hot tub both welcome additions to a perfect stay-everything you need is provided, take food with you and you wont need(or want) to leave.
Couple of negatives-its a memory foam mattress which takes some getting used too if you don't have one and check out time is 10am.
This is easily going to become a firm favourite for de-stressing.

We booked a long weekend break as a getaway for the end of January, We had originally booked a romantic break for france but cancelled it to come here instead as we like the place so much.
This is our 4th visit and this time brought our new addition to the family (Chance our dog) to stay with us in the lodge called beech.
We was met by Amy who is always friendly and helpful and although it was raining like mad and very windy we still made use of the hot tub over the weekend and also had some excursions out to Yarmouth and Lowestoft. the highlight had to be the power cut which knocked out every cabin and its nice to know there was even a torch under the sink for emergencies and when called peter was there within 5 minutes to help out all the cabins.
It was also nice to see that the dogs meg and molly have a new friend ruby out walking with peter,
If your expecting the Hilton hotel with all the trimmings this wont be for you, its a lodge holiday and there is no clubhouse or bar or disco although the games room is good with its pool table. However if your into peace and quiet relaxation with no disturbances from traffic or noise and a very good service from peter and his family this is ideal and highly recommended.
The pace is very relaxed and the farm shop with its meat and sausages is amazing.

We will be returning later in the year along with our in-laws for a weeks stay.

There was only one tiny fault and that was a faulty jet on the hot tub but this was only a minor thing and didn't affect the holiday unlike some who like to moan about everything they can find.

Thankyou again peter and the family and we look forward to seeing you later in the year.

Stayed in the 1 bed elite for a weekend, the plan was peace and quiet and relaxation, this we certainly got, Cabin was very clean, well equipped and its the little things that i really appreciated like tea towels, dish cloths very rare are these provided. The hot tub & sauna was excellent, Amy was very helpful from start to finish with everything. The Sausages, Bacon & Eggs were lovely must try these. We will definately be returning, highly recommended.

This was our 3rd visit here staying in the elite cabins. We have stayed twice in spruce and once in the one bed next door! We come here for peaceful relaxation and find the lodges to be very clean, very well equipped and worth every penny. The sauna and hot tub are very nice and the hot tubs are well placed to offer as much privacy as possible. There are lots of attractions nearby but we prefer to just lock ourselves away from the world. If your after quiet and relaxation then I can highly recommended coming here. I've met Amy in reception once and she seems very pleasant and helpful but we have never needed to contact anyone else as we have had no other issues. The manual in the cabin is very helpful. We have looked at other cabins but always return here as we find the elite cabins to offer exceptional value for money. I'm sure we will return a 4th time and many more. The only negative I can find is they could do with providing extra towels or dressing gowns for using in the hot tub/sauna.
