Lodges are in a lovely rural, quiet location. Perfect base for our visit to Suffolk. This made it possible to get excellent view of stars. We stayed in older lodge which was lovely and warm, clean and well equipped. Some aspects need a bit of updating, new curtains needed and double bed mattress which was sunken in middle. New pillows would be good too. Apart from this everything was lovely and we will certainly return.

Room tip: Choose newer lodge.

We've just returned from a 3 night break at this lovely place. We arrived at 3.30pm on the Friday and was met by Amy. Our lodge (Chestnut) was ready and waiting. Amy gave us information about the area, said the heating was on so it was all toasty when we arrived and told us of the local shops. Our lodge was very clean, beds made up and very comfortable, gate on the decking so our dog couldn't venture off on his own, and a well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. The hot tub was such a luxury, it was so warm and we definitely got our use out of it, even when it was frosty in the evening. The lights around the trees were such a nice touch. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Thank you

We spent an amazingly relaxing three nights here in Elite 2. It is well equipped, clean and so well thought out. The sauna and hot tub were absolutely perfect. I arrived to a lovely gift of Champagne and flowers from my partner organised by the very helpful Amy and our dog was most welcome here too. Lots of lovely places to walk and just generally relax. The cabins are very private and we were not troubled by anyone else during our stay. I have come to Athelington Hall Log Cabins for many years but this is the first time I have ever stayed in Elite cabins - they are exceptionally well designed and so cosy. We are already looking at dates to come back as soon as possible and will definitely be booking Elite 2 again. Can't wait!

Room tip: Elite 2 is great if you have a dog.

Just returned from our 4th visit to Athelington Hall and again enjoyed the peace and tranquility. We arrived quite early but were lucky enough to get into our accommodation early. We stayed in hazel lodge which we have stayed in on our last 3 visits. This is an elite 2 dog friendly lodge. A bonus this year was that a gate has been added , in previous years we have had to make shift a barrier but was great for our dog to have that little more freedom. The lodge as always was well equipped and we again had a grocery delivery of fresh foods to last our stay. Hot tub was again a bonus and we used daily. Looking forward to next year!

Well, I must have been staying at a different location to Elsa64 then. Had a lodge there last week with two friends and a dog. When we arrived for check in a lady was already waiting in reception. Our Lodge was lovely. Immaculately clean, beautiful linen and towels. The Lodge was very modern and nothing was worn. It was very well equipped and the central heating worked a treat. We figured out on the first morning the best setting for the shower which was hot all week. We did not hear the pigs on the farm and on the fourth day only was their a slight "whiff" but nothing to worry about. Our hot tub was hot and was inspected daily and was clean. We had no trouble with our mobiles and the reception was excellent, although we all had 4G. The fridge in reception was well stocked, apart from bacon. There were instruction manuals for all the essential equipment like the boiler, oven and microwave. There was a Welcome and Instruction Manual on the coffee table and gave loads of information about the place, surrounding area and local pubs and take aways and shops. We actually found a lovely pub on the A140 just before the turning to Eye. It was called The Four Horseshoes at Thornham Magna. They allowed dogs in the bar and the pub is an ancient coaching inn. The food was great and staff polite and helpful. We actually eat there two evenings. Eye had a well-stocked Co-op and there were lots of places to visit. There was also a Visitor Book in the Lodge and people had given lots of suggestions of where to go. At night the trees were lit up and very pretty. All in all, a lovely quiet location. I would definitely go again.
