“A Magical B&B”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Had the chance to spend a weekend here and having been to quite a few B&B this was the best one ever!!!!!!!!!!!
The rooms all are amazing all with fireplaces and you can get wi-fi, but there is no tv or phone service cell or land line, although there is a land line availaible to use if needed in the front hall.

Belive me this place has so much charm and areas to walk, relax in youcould care less about tv and phones.

The inn keepers and their staff are second to none!!

If you get the chance to go here, give youself a treat and splurge for the 5 course nite time dinner
.
It's 2 hours long with soft music and what a treat the atmoshere is outstanding!!!!

This has now become my wife's and I FAVORITE place.....will absoulutly be going back

This is one of the sweetest places I have ever been. The innkeepers and all the staff are the kindest people. Our cabin was so clean and cozy. This place has mastered the art of being charming without trying too hard, as many B&B's often do. (There was a clever, personal touch to the whole place; no doilies and dusty stuffed animals here!!) The food was out of this world. The breakfast is amazing enough on its own, but I highly recommend staying for dinner at least once, too. I give the Notchland Inn my highest recommendation!

The wife and I just stayed here a few days ago (and we have stayed here numerous times over the past 10 + years). We love it here. Set off of route 302 in a nice, quiet location with nothing but mountains and trees surrounding you. The air is fresh and clean and you truly feel like a million miles away from civilization. On a clear night, you can see so many stars in the sky. The Notchland Inn has several rooms to choose from (we tend to stay in "Evans"). Owners Ed and Les are wonderful hosts and have made every one of our stays very special. The dinners are always delicious and their breakfasts fill you up for whatever you have scheduled for the day (hiking, skiing, shopping in North Conway, etc.). Should you need any hiking advise, please ask for Mark, who knows the area better than anyone. Whether spring, summer, fall or winter, the Notchland is a wonderful place to stay.

Oh.. maybe I should mention that we got married here back in 2003.. :)

Beautiful quiet and secluded inn. Easy access to hiking for all fitness levels. Inn keepers wonderfully helpful but unobtrusive. Breakfast excellent and dinner a bit pricey but worth the splurge! I would love to return with my adult children soon.

Room Tip: Cannot lose on this one. I had a room on the first floor adjacent to entry and had no problem with n...

We were able to score two rooms as part of a Living Social package last week. The friendly owners, Ed and Les, and their staff, keep this inn in tip top spotless condition. The breakfasts were very good, all day coffee (Keurig) and tea was a nice touch. Be prepared to get away from it all, as there is no television available, and no cell phone service. North Conway, the nearest town is about 20 miles. Surprisingly, it was not hard to get used to. Would we return...absolutely!

My husband and enjoyed last week end at the The Notchland Inn. We try a new bed and breakfast about 8 times a year and this in was on my bucket list to visit. We enjoyed our corner room bear, the week end was warm and enjoyed opening the windows and hearing the river across the street. Breakfast was great, and the staff was very nice. We asked if it was OK to bring friends to dinner with us and were told of course and given a menu for them. The dinner was very nice but when the bill came we were all charged $50 per person, more than the $42 posted and advertized price. When we ask about that the waitress went to the kitchen to ask. When she returned she said that the price was different for guest not staying at the inn. We were then charged $42 per person and our friend were charged $50 per person, which was not posted anywhere. I bit tacky if you ask me, I had told our friend the posted price, so I was a little embarrassed. But all in all it was a good meal, just wish that this did not happen.

Room Tip: I think the bear room would be noisy in the busy summer months being very close to traffic.

The Notchland Inn was a wonderful place to spend 2 nights in mid-March. We stayed in the Bear room which was quite nice, though I think may be noisy in the warmer months as we could hear the traffic at times with the windows shut. Breakfasts were excellent. The almond french toast was to die for. Unfortunately the chef was ill during our visit so we did not get a chance to eat dinner at the inn. However, Mark, the assistant inn keeper, was very helpful in recommending and making reservations for us at other eateries. We loved sitting in the piano room, playing scrabble in front of the fire, and also having a fire in our room. We snowshoed on the property which was perfect for us as we are novices. Gypsy, the dog, is also a delight. We have already booked a return trip for the fall.
