I am surprised there aren't more reviews since this place is so nice and seems to be very, very busy.
We stayed here for three nights during foliage season. The room was lovely, and quiet. The breakfasts were relaxed and delicious--you have your own table (v. communal dining) which is a must for me.
The innkeepeers, Ed and Les, make their presence known and wander about with helpful chats, be it regarding traffic relief routes or shopping. They've mastered the blend of being friendly without intrusive, something I find is a challenge to many innkeepers, should they come out of hiding.
We had dinner one evening, they offer full-service fine dining several nights a week, to the public as well. It was so romantic and comfy--the perfect music, friendly staff, nice lighting and fire, everything was just fabulous.
If you can afford to stay here, by all means. I think you'll love it. We plan to return in the next year or two. (It's a long way for us.)
