After completing all our Christmas shopping early my husband and I decided to give ourselves a Christmas treat and get away for a night. After staying at Ettington Park in August we decided it would be lovely to go back in December and experience the house in the winter time. Again we were not disappointed. On entering the reception area we were met by warm friendly staff, a log fire was burning and the christmas decorations looked fantastic, it was magical.
We had booked one of the suites over looking the grounds and the Victorian Garden, the views were amazing.
After dressing for dinner we enjoyed a glass of champagne while we browsed through the extensive menu and had a fantastic leisurely evening meal by candlelight.
Before going down for our hearty breakfast the next morning we enjoyed a cup of tea in our room looking out across the gardens at the deer feeding on the lawns, it was a beautiful sight.
For us this one night treat went all to quickly and we were again left wishing we had booked a two night break to really enjoy the house. This will definately be on our agenda next year and hopefully the next time we stay at Ettington Park we will get to enjoy one of their afternoon teas that look absolutely out of this world.

My husband and I got married at this hotel in December 2007, and couldn't have wished for a more fanastic experience. The hotel staff were exceptional - friendly and very knowledgable about the history of this lovely old gothic mansion, which is reputably one of the most haunted in Britain. The food was magnificent, cooked and presented to perfection. We stayed in one of the 'feature rooms' which boasted an antique four poster bed, and had a fabulous extra large bath tub. Our stay at his hotel was without doubt a truly memorable experience, and we were treated throughout our stay with a warm and friendly service, the staff could not do enough to make our stay extra special. If you are looking for a wedding or special occasion venue look no further than Ettington Park. Our Wedding was held in the library with a candlelite reception. The occsion was made extra special with a visit from the local deer, who came right up to the windows, and enchanted the children who were convinced they had been sent by Father Christmas! This venue is also ideal for couples seeking a get away from it all break, as you have some excellent local attractons onthe doorstep and the staff will look after your every need.

Having booked a three day off site meeting at Ettington Park for 18 of our senior Directors i cannot stress enough how fantastic our experience was.

The location of the hotel is perfect and it's surroundings are beautiful however this was not the best part of our stay by any means!!

From the moment we arraived the staff made us all very welcome and being quite a demanding group they handled every request as if nothing was too much trouble.

The meeting room was stunning and throughout the day the service was flawless and unobstrusive. The overnight accommodation was of a very high standard and i received no complaints from the group (which is highly unusual!).

One of the major assets of the hotel is the food. The working lunch was the best we have ever encountered during one of these meetings. The meal in the evening was of equal quality too.

Since my original booking i have already been back to Ettington for another meeting and plan to use them for many more in the future - i couldn't think of anywhere better!!

I think the review title says it all!!

Having to book a Christmas event for 18 people is no mean feat and to ensure that you get elegance in a hotel and great food is always a challenge. Also having stopped in a number of hotels I have had varied experiences at Christmas, not always good .Ettington Park l rose to this challenge and we were not disappointed. There service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Mohammed was our host for the evening and was fantastic. Normally I have found that mass produce food is very bland at this time of the year, again the food was wonderful. A big thanks to the chef.
The hotel is set in the most beautiful grounds and what a ‘WOW’ factor when you drive up the house in the evening. The rooms were beautiful and everything letter or information left in the room was personalised. What a lovely touch in the evening to have room service along with fresh fruit and home made chocolates
A number of us sat up to the early hours chewing over the fatted cow, again the night staff accommodated our needs until 05.15a.m.
We will most definitely be returning and recommending everyone who would like a weekend away, or even a sales meeting to go to Ettington Park.

Fabulous location in the most gorgeous countryside. If you like eccentric, grand country house stays then this is worth a look. Not cheap but has a charm that makes the extra expense worthwhile. Good menu; excellent selection of english cheeses; helpful and pleasant staff. Perfect for a weekend away from the kids.

It was our daughters wedding venue and what a place to have a wedding. Everything was perfect from start to finish and everyone had a fantastic time. The staff fell over backwards to make sure everything was ok, the rooms were beautiful and the building and grounds are gorgeous. So much to see and do. The food was top class and would like to have stayed a week but the fairy tail wedding celebrations came to an end the next day and we had to return to reality.

We only stayed one night at the Ettington Park and wished it could have been more. The surroundings were stunningly beautiful. The staff were very helpful and very attentive, they even advised us on the best way to see the local attractions. The room we had was above expectations, the pool was an added luxury. The breakfast we had was outstanding, we could not fault any part of our stay.
