Stayed a night as a present from our children. Living up the road, it was our first stay. Very pleasant welcome, very efficent. No faults with the room. Very comfortable. No mini bar, thank goodness, but not needed with room service. With only two of us, and my wife having fish, and lamb for me, the wines by the glass were excellent quality, but rather expensive. Very good table d'hote, easily upgradeable with items off the a la carte. Continental breakfast served in the chapel. I had the full English, and was dismayed to have crispy streaky bacon, I did not make a fuss. Perhaps I should have specified back bacon. Overall a very pleasant stay.

I am very grateful to you for taking the time to post a review of Ettington Park following your recent visit with us. I was delighted to read you found your room comfortable and that you had a pleasant stay overall. I have spoken to Chef regarding you only being served streaky bacon, Our Full English Breakfast should be served with both smoked streaky bacon and back bacon and I apologise that this was not the case on this occasion.
I do hope to welcome you back to Ettington Park in the not to distant future
Kind Regards

Went for a 2 night stay, the staff were very helpful on checkin and the guy showing us to our room was very cheerful. Room had a large flatscreen tv and the bathroom is nice, a lot of mirrors. Restaurant was overpriced and reception was helpful in finding us another place to go and booked a table for us. Had the food on the second night and it was very nice though! Swimming pool is a little small but nice, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna is also very nice. Overall, very nice place once you've found it, it's very easy to drive straight past it but once you're there, the grounds are also very nice.

A few days away in Startford upon Avon made all the better for a very relaxing and comfortable stay at the Ettington Park Hotel. Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Big 5 star hotel service in a smaller countryside manor hotel setting. This was our second stay at a Hand Picked Hotel - we are very happy to recommend them and will definitely use Hand Picked Hotels again.

This is the second 'hand picked' hotel we have stayed at and once again it is up to their excellent standard. From the moment you arrive, to the time you leave, you are made to feel special.

As with the other Hotel we stayed in this excellent chain, standards are very high in all respects from cleanliness, staff, quality of facilities to the experience in general. Our room was of a very high standard. Although the hotel price range is a little higher than some others it is, given the quality, extremely good value for money.

The hotel is a place worth seeing in its own rights - typical victorian gothic style with large public rooms and wonderful decor.

Well worth trying is an afternoon tea in the drawing room - like all things here well worth the experience.

The evening meal was an outstanding experience, from the atmosphere, quality of food to the presentation and the service.

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds which contain amongst other things a ruined church. One of the transepts has been preserved as the family chapel of the family who owned and lived here for generations. If you ask at reception they will take you in - well worth the time! There is also a helpful guide sheet about the history of the building, again from reception.

The hotel is well situated for places such as Stratford or the motor museum at Gaydon.

Would we go again - try and stop us! After this and the other one in the chain we have a mission to try others in the Hand Picked Chain!

Room Tip: Ask to have a room overlooking the old church. The views were stunning. If you want an excuse to...

Lady Beoirgra and I stayed here for a wedding, so we got to experience a number of different aspects of the hotel service. The grounds are incredible, and make for an amazing stay, as well as offering the most idyllic setting for a wedding. The room we stayed in was lovely, with a large bathroom, and most importantly, an extremely comfortable bed. The staff were especially welcoming, and not at all pompous or overbearingly formal. Upon checking out we were helped by one member of staff who told us about local places to visit and even gave us a leaflet with a 2 for 1 offer for Warwick Castle. Most useful.

The only criticism I have is that when checking in, the receptionist was not able to find the key for our room and had to find a spare. We later found out why this was the case, as another member of staff entered our room about half an hour later with a couple who were being shown around the hotel (probably interested in a wedding). She may have knocked, but there are two doors to enter the room and the sound from the first does not carry. Whilst Mrs Beoirgra was getting changed at the time, thankfully her intimate bits were covered. Likewise, luckily we were not "in flagrante" otherwise the interested couple may have got the wrong impression about the hotel. This seemed unprofessional, and there was no apology.

However, overall this is a wonderful venue for a quiet stay, in lovely surroundings, and a stone's throw from Statford, Leamington and Warwick.

Perfect for us for a trip to the Theatre at Stratford. Cream tea on arrival, a short drive to the theatre, a cocktail before bed, the most comfortable beds you will ever sleep in and a wonderful breakfast. A swim and sauna and home in time for lunch.

Reading other reviews you realise you have to book venues with care. Some frustrated at clashing with weddings and some disappointed about midweek lunch. Well if you book here in mid-summer you really should expect to run into a wedding as it must be on the top 10 for weddings in the midlands. Also in such a beautiful tucked away location, they would not be geared up for voluminous mid-week lunch trade.

This is a one off location. It is individual. It is a bit querky. It has very good rooms and amenities within 10 minutes of Stratford. For all these reasons, WE love it. See you next year.

We had our wedding at Ettington Park yesterday and the setting was perfect. The rooms are great - especially the suites and the staff were helpful, attentive and really well organised. All our guests were blown away by the beautiful house and grounds, we had a civil ceremony in the library, followed by a blessing in the chapel outside in the hotel grounds. I'd recommend this venue to anyone planning their wedding.

Room Tip: Pick the Victorian Garden Suite for the wedding night - stunning.
