My husband and I stayed in the All Stars room for one night on Saturday 12th April.
We would thoroughly recommend this pub with rooms/B and B. Our room was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully designed. One benefit of the room, in our opinion, was that it was accessed from outside the pub through the courtyard although I'm not sure if it may be noisy in the warmer months as the outside area was lovely and I'd expect that it may be very popular in the summer.
There was a range of books and magazines left in the room and I, personally found the in-room information pack fascinating, giving an explanation of the rationale behind the décor and naming of the rooms as well as information about the family who own the pub. There were lovely home made biscuits left out as well as quality teas and toiletries.
I would recommend booking for dinner as the restaurant was busy in the evening but not too noisy or overwhelming. Service was not what I would describe as slick but it was very warm and all of the staff were helpful and unfailingly friendly. Dinner was nice and I'd certainly class it as well above average pub food with a wide variety of options on the menu.
The building is very attractive and the public areas have also been beautifully decorated. My husband and I had a wonderful evening and would not hesitate to recommend this venue. This is a well located option for anyone visiting Stratford or the surrounding area.... or even just as a stand alone night away. It's always a treat to find one off places to stay that buck the corporate trend but still offer a high level of comfort and hospitality.
