Just had a week in the red level here, adults only bit. I'm a bit reluctant to tell people how impressed I've been so it doesn't become too popular. Not the cheapest place for sure but the service, food, facilities are top drawer. The staff are excellent too, nothing too much trouble. If you are looking for a relaxing break and prepared to stay in the resort itself this is ideal, not much going on outside the hotel but not far from busier resorts if you need.
My only gripe; if you are looking to try out the various restaurants on site you need to book before the night you want to visit for popular times as some of them get booked.

Room Tip: Red level rooms with partial sea view you don't get much view as there are tall palm trees outside. If you want sea view then book full sea view. Also the partial view have balcony on side of hotel, still nice but sea view was from window not the balcony.

My Wife booked this at very late notice and we were not disappointed!
The facilities are very good and you are left a feeling that there are not that many people there and lots of space!
The room was great, very comfy bed and nice view.
The breakfast Restaurant and evening buffet dining area, which are the same, is a great space and ideal for families with younger ones, who want to relax without the formalities.
However, I did have a couple of issues during my stay. The first was that in our week, it was not possible to get a table in the glass restaurant in the middle of the resort?!
The other was the fact that during every meal service, we constantly had to ask for wines and drinks to be topped up. Now I am not talking about now and again, but throughout every meal.
If you are on all inclusive, one should not have to go looking for a wine waiter?!!!
Otherwise, we had a lovely time.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a view

Stayed here in March sea view in red level gorgeous view best hotel room facilities I've seen between aromatherapy, Claris toiletries, jacuzzi bath on balcony, ironing service it's all great. Food in the fine dining restaurant Duo really good and breakfast in the main restaurant had an amazing selection. We never had any issue booking due to red level. A lovely peaceful atmosphere by the pool and at drinks in the evening over the ocean view amazing. Will be back :)))

Stayed last week with the family, which included our 10 week old daughter.
First impressions before we even arrived were fantastic as guest relations assisted with a number of enquiries and requests to help us with such a small baby. Prompt email responses and every effort made to accomm our requirements.
We booked a private transfer through the hotel and while a little expensive, guaranteed us getting a baby seat and no waiting for the coach.
Our room was plenty big enough, amenities excellent and nicely laid out. Only small complaint was the location wasn't great ie at the far end of the hotel over looking a road (room 3037). No noise though.
Food quality and choice - awesome
Breakfast : at Pangea was excellent, such an array of choice and all freshly prepared. Service of coffee was prompt and always with a smile.
Lunch : we mostly ate at Market Grill although Oasis and Pangea also offered an excellent lunch.
Dinner : Ate once at Pangea and the buffet was excellent. Oasis was pretty good, but the Italain (Ocean) and as per everyone's reviews was easily the best. The Scallapina Alla Milanese (veal escalope with spag boll) was a particular fave and brought memories back of sking meals in Italy!
Service quality was good and while the waitresses did tend to chuck the wine into your glass, they are very busy and glasses regularly topped up, so can't complain!
The local wines were excellent and the beer cold and tasty!
We read a lot of complaints about restaurant reservations and I've giggled at some of the complaints I witnessed ie people asking to see managers etc etc, well what a load of nonsense! We made a reservation where we wanted and what time we wanted each day. Perhaps the school holidays are different once the masses arrive but last week no problems at all.
The pool areas are all excellent, we hired a Balli bed each day. We wanted enough space for keeping our baby in the shade for play, feeding and changing, so while expensive at a starting price of €50 per day we benefited from it.

The pool areas are beautiful, with everybody catered for from families to adult only pools. As a recent parent, I fully respect the adult only areas and the hotel do a wonderful job of catering for everybody.

Travelling in May, the evenings got quite chilly and while the outside terrace had very enjoyably music entertainment, we did find the lack of indoor evening facilities a challenge (the theatre wasn't for us as too loud for a baby). Not a complaint, just an observation and we often sat outside Nemo's bar for a drink to listen to the excellent pianist as its adult only inside. By July, August this comment won't be relevant as the evenings will be warm...

We stayed on a full board basis. We don't generally drink 'all day' so never felt we missed out by not having all inclusive, as all drinks included at meal times. Great value for money on the FB package

My wife had a couple of spa treatments, so for any spa lovers out there she said the massage was great quality.

A unanimously agreed great holiday enjoyed by my wife and I and our baby helpers - her parents!
We are already discussing a return visit in 2015.

Big compliment to the Sensatori and Gran Melia guest relations teams, all very polite and helpful. They booked golf at Costa Adeje for me too which was much aprpeciated, see spearate review.

Room Tip: Sea view are garden view rooms appeared nicer, we had a dull road view but spent so little time in the room it didn't bother us. Interior acomm all the same
