We booked this hotel via a quite known online booking service some time in advance. When we arrived there, we were told that no rooms were left althoug the booking had been confirmed. They offered us to "arrange" another hotel twice the price. The booking mistake of course was not their fault....
So if you want to play it safe, don't make a reservation there.

I wasn't certainly expecting a five stars treatment because of the name, especially considering the price, but:

1) they 'forgot' to pick us up at the airport, after having confirmed that by email the previous day. One hour and many calls later we ended up to pay a local van for a lift to the city centre...half of the morning waisted in this way. When we arrived we saw they had a sign with our name on the desk, with written 'welcome to flores' on....no comment....

2) The room was ok, almost on the top, with a partial view on the harbor, quite small but with AC. The bathroom was something unbelievable: separated from the main room by a curtain (and good luck if you are not intimate with your roommate....), a few drops of water coming from the shower, so weak that It takes ages if you want to wash your hair, sink full of hair from previous guest plus something undefined, a hole in the wall as a window, allowing platoons of mosquitoes to come inside looking for fresh blood.... (A positive thing is that they provide mosquito spray.....but then you realize that it is useless because of the 'hole' in the wall constantly open...). We also experienced a black out in the room, so my friend had to go downstairs at some restaurant to dry her hair and we stayed in the dark for the rest of the night. Very romantic! :)

3) Breakfast ok, even if very poor. They didn't even bother to clean the table, they just made some space to leave our coffees on it.

4) Not happy enough, we had booked a second night (yes! masochist...) through a different website from the first one: they told us that the website was unreliable and that the hotel was fully booked. So, as we had a boat trip booked for the day, we left there our bags and when we came back in the afternoon we had to spend another couple of hours using the Internet of a different place and walking around to try to find another accommodation. Once we booked a new hotel, we went back to the Green Hill to be told that the owner was now available to give us a room in his private residence .... We ran happily away and I have to say that for only 10 euro of difference we found a much better hotel along the beach.
Conclusion: if you want to be super central - close to the harbor and the diving centres - and you are not too fussy, this hotel is ok. But for what it offers, it is definitely overpriced. They just profit of the fact that the accomodations, at the moment, are limited, especially during the high season.

Note regarding the harbor area - I didn't mind that much, but If you are a light sleeper, better if you choose an accomodation on the beach side: hundreds of roosters are happily singing along the night, plus you will listen to the pray of not one, not two, not three, but four mosques!!

Room Tip: If you really have to, at least ask for a room at the top floor.

I stayed here three nights. I stayed in room 11 which is high on the hillside. It's quiet a climb to get there. The room was ok, but there should be a door between the room and the bathroom, not just a curtain. Great view!
The staff is young, and not always friendly. Their english is bad to non-existant.
I would stay here again.

Initially our room seemed fine - comfy bed etc but then the next day there was a lot of noise from a building site right outside our door. This was OK as it was only during the day, although would have been nice to have been pre-warned as sitting in the outside area wasn't easy. The first night we were exhausted after a bus journey from yogyakarta so slept through everything but the next night at ten pm loud music started from what appeared to be the building site. It turns out it was the restaurant next door. After establishing it wasn't the hotel we were staying in and explaining we were tired and had to be up early to go diving the next day they moved us to another room. A word of warning if you're travelling during Ramadan... This hotel is incredibly close to a mosque so expect to be woken at 5am for the early breakfast announcement over a public address system... It's worse on a Friday (not sure how much quieter it would be anywhere else though!)

This hotel seems to offer breakfast in a slightly haphazard way. We got offered breakfast one morning as we left so we didn't have time, then we were offered it that evening for the next morning but it didn't arrive at the requested time, once again being offered as we left for the day. Finally on our last day we actually got breakfast but this was after chasing it in the morning and repeating or order. The breakfast is served in the address outside your room and was a nice pancake with some fruit and tea/coffee. Every request usually ended up with an audience of about four other staff members for some reason. They also do laundry but again don't advertise this. We asked at reception and someone came to our room immediately to collect it even though we just wanted information... By the time we had managed to ask for prices (they have a list as it's done by item... Quite reasonable prices) there were once again four members of staff standing round watching. It's as if they have visited another hotel and ask the pieces are there they're just not fitted together quite right...
We asked for a transfer to the airport but when we checked out the hotel car wasn't there, bit it was fine... The guy on the desk phoned his friend!
The hotel is on a hill but they will carry your bags for you (whether you want them too or not.) When we came to leave a bit turned up and asked if we were checking out... At our response of yes he immediately took my bag and basically demanded a tip... When asked how much he said it was up to us but when we gave him some he said it wasn't enough and wanted more... I found his demeanour very rude, which is a shame as everyone had been polite until this point. He then proceeded to snatch my boyfriend's bag even though he protested as he hadn't finished packing, but to no avail... It was taken down and left in reception... This was at 10... check out wasn't until 12 so it's not like we were late leaving.
Our room want cleaned once while we were there... Maybe we should have asked as if everything else was to go by it's probably something they do offer!
Overall it's a good location being on the main street, close to the port and restaurants etc but could do with being a bit more organised... Even just some information in the room would be helpful.

Room Tip: Although the higher rooms mean you have to walk up more steps it's worth it for the quite away f...

We stayed there for 4 nights, we were originally in room 4, however rooms 1-4 are above "The Lounge" the restaurant next door with is in the process of building a bar on the roof, this meant that during the day we had the sound of saws and hammering, and then in the evening the loud music from the restaurant, I assume this will be worse when the bar is complete. The first night we were so tired we managed to sleep, but the second night it was like being in a night club so we asked to be move. It took a lot of persuasion but we were moved to room 5 which was quieter.

We were not told breakfast was include in the price, we were offered it on the second day, but we were leaving to go diving to early, we ordered breakfast on the third day but it never arrived. On the fourth day we finally got breakfast and it only cost 30,000 IDR which is good value, until we found out that breakfast is included in the price and the 30,000 we'd been asked to pay was the bus boys tip!

The room was never cleaned while we were there which meant rubbish accumulated and the transfer to the airport we booked was forgotten.

Generally speaking the room was nice but the poor service is the reason I wouldn't stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms 1-4 are noisy and set to get worse

Me and my friend landed early in the morning and the manager of the hotel was supposed to pick us up at the airport. We waited for almost 45 minutes and nobody showed up. The manager simply forgot to come at the airport. The hotel is centrally located and this is a good point. However, very bad smell at the reception and in general. We had a room on the top but it was really small. The toilet was awful, very few water and a hole above the shower left mosquitos coming in (no door, just a curtain separated the toilet from the bedroom). Electricity was suddendly cut and never reactivated. For just 12 euro more we stayed at La Prima Hotel and the difference was huge!
