“Creepy old hotel very hard to find by gps”
Reviewed 25 August 2013 via mobile

This is the creepyest hotel i have ever seen. The rooms are big, but the furniture is very old and the smell is like he 1900 perfume. When i turned on the air conditioning it smelled very awuful. At the reception desk you will find a nice lady, but behind her, a terrifeing dog that barks at you unstopable. And what is with the hotel logo for the love of God, looks like its madw for a cemetery not for the hotel. Its an old picture with the first owner of the hotel, called Maria obviously.

A very nice hotel, in the center of Botosani, surrounded by trees and flowers, just where the park ends and the promenade begins. So, very nice surroundings.
Not really a 4 stars hotel, but the price isn't for a 4 stars hotel either, so it's a very good value for money. The room was small, the bathroom was small, I mean for a 4 stars hotel. The bathroom door is very old and it shows in the details. The bathtub doesn't have a curtain, so the bathroom floor was all wet after a shower. We got only one small bar of soap for our entire stay (2 persons, 5 days) and only one shampoo. The towels were changed only once, the sheets from the bed not even once, and the only thing the maid did (in my opinion) was to fold back the same sheets. I noticed I got from the balcony a wilted flower on the floor in the room and there it remained for our entire stay. I left it there on purpose. The ashtray I put on the balcony was never emptied, I didn't empty it in the room because of the smell. These are all details which I didn't really care for. I just noticed them and seemed funny at the time. That's why I didn't even complain about any of it. Nevertheless, the room looked clean, the AC was working great and the bed was comfortable (very healthy mattress) and that is what really matters to me.
The breakfast is 4 stars. I dare say even 5 stars! Very good quality and varied food, lots of choices every day and great homemade jams.
The staff at the reception and in the breakfast areas (they changed it every day) were very helpful and friendly. Always with a nice smile on their faces and always eager to help.
Overall a good quality hotel, great value for money, but not for fancy luxury seekers.

Room Tip: Rooms on the promenade are a bit noisy from the terrace below which closes after 1 am. Also the free...
