Ny husband and I weren't sure what to expect when we made reservations for the gluten free dinner, but we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant evening with good food, warm hosts and the company of other adventurous diners. While the venue holds 20 diners, our table was the only occuped one with a total of 7 reserved seats. Perhaps people were afraid of "gluten free," but the dinner was delicious from start to finish. We were served 3 dishes, each paired with a different wine and each wine introduced by a local wine distributor who was delightfully informative! Dinner started with a peach soup (heavenly) and was followed by a white bean salad with eggs and olive vinaigreete. The main entre was game hens with an apricot curry sauce and huckleberries, along with some wild rice. The sauce with the game hen was quite good and the huckleberries added a nice touch. For dessert, we were served homemade coffee ice cream with chocolate - outstanding! Plan on spending a good 2 hours for dinner. The service is prompt and moves right along while at the same time giving you plenty of opportunity to savor your food and wine pairings. Plus, you will probably end up chatting with your fellow dinner companions, as seating is "family" style at a long dining table.
