A super place to eat, cosy bar seating or a more bijou restaurant experience available. Food was great- lovely to see venison and rabbit featuring on a menu for a change alongside welsh beef and seafood. Must recommend the crab meals- superb.
Staff cant do enough for you and very reasonably priced- 4 adult meals with starter and drinks under £90- bargain!
Definitely a must eatery if your in the area.

had pulled pork roll - massive! Very fresh and extremely generous serving. Also had potato skins, which were delicious. Don't make our mistake and think this this is a starter - believe me, the potato skins make up a small meal themselves!

Thank shbrink

Following local recommendation, I booked this for Sunday lunch to celebrate my partner's 40th with friends and family.
From my initial email I cannot fault this place. Quick, hugely informative and helpful replies to all my emails and nothing a problem.
We arrived and everything had been accommodated for with regard to highchairs etc! We had a lovely table overlooking the outside terrace and beautiful views. Service was very good and efficient. We were looked after so well and the food was not only delicious with a fantastic menu to choose from but the portions were very generous so excellent value for money.
All of us in the group thoroughly enjoyed it and it was perfect for the occasion, especially after a tough day on Snowdon yesterday!
Thank you to all at the Cross Foxes and wishing you the very best for your future success.

We arrived nearby on Sunday night and were a bit limited on where we could eat. We came to the Cross Foxes to a well maintained and obviously refurbished restaurant. Here is the issue. The bar was devoid of staff, people where sat on the floor looking at menus, and it wasn't clear where to eat. We found a member of staff and were informed that because they had no bookings for that evening, they were short staffed!!! Common sense would dictate here that a good pub would also rely on passing trade and another member of staff would have been a good idea. There were about 30 people trying to eat here. The restaurant is devoid of personality and has the feel of a nightclub about it. Service was very slow and the poor staff rushed off their feet. They were all very polite and helpful though. We were a bit confused by the need for music to be on in the open plan kitchen area and also the unusual choice of music to dine by of Drum and Bass, with an average BPM of 2000! Food was ok, but nothing to really write home about. Prices were quite low, but would not have been happy about paying more. The staff also enjoy cutlery duties which only added to the cacophony of kitchen rave and dining Drum and Bass. Personally, I would give this place a miss, which is a crying shame as it is in a beautiful location and could be stunning.
