Lovely country manor in park like setting in beautiful countryside. Ideal for walking but needs transport for more than the lovely nearby Torrent walk. 3-4 km from nearest town Dolgellau. Staff could provide information on 1 km walk to nearest bus pickup as taxis can be pricey depending on company and don't use meters. Good access to Snowdonia and North Wales Coast. Excellent itineraries for self guided walks and other options with HFHolidays

The food at HF Holidays is always good. The food at Dolserau Hall is in another league, a 'Super-League'! Sean and Steve the Head Chef and his Sous Chef are a masterful double act taking great pride in the food that they produce and all I can say is that night after night the meals were awesome and I didn't want to go home. These guys have both trained with the best and their CV's read like a 'Who's Who' in culinary mastery.

The manager Gemma was very approachable, friendly and super efficient aided by her equally efficient assistant manager, Kelly. Nothing was too much trouble and a stay at an HF House is a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: Any room is a good room here!

The standard and quality of cuisine was exceptionally high, showing pride in local produce and a fine attention to detail. The young staff group were attentive, charming and kind. A great experience in a beautiful location with excellent walks. Thank you.

We went for a 3 night break with our local walking group, as there are 35 of us we had sole occupancy of the hall. Many of the group have been visiting HF houses for over 20 years and all commented how they are improving year on year, from the accommodation, the en suite facilities & the food.
This year we all commented on how exceptional the food was, Sean is passionate about cooking, he sat with us one night late on and explained he sources as much produce locally as he can and is forever developing new menus. I had the best dessert I have ever tasted white chocolate winter wonderland
The next night we had a superb 6 course taster menu, don’t think this could have been bettered in a Michelin star. We didn’t mind that we all ate together as we are all friends or that breakfast finished at 9 o’clock as we had walks planned.
The discovery room is packed with information maps leaflets & suggested walks, we went on the nearby precipice walk & the torrent walk both spectacular & another longer walk.
We did not use their guide or entertainment as we had our own leader & quizzes.
The accommodation was lovely
The staff Gemma the manager, Sean the chef, Zak the barman & all the waitresses were amazingly helpful; friendly & well organised.
We have all said we will return

We spent 4 nights here as the base for an HF walking holiday on the Ardudwy trail. We had a large room in the Coach House which had a large sitting area and views over 2 sides of the gardens. However the highlight was the food. Although the choice of dishes was limited to 3 or 4 options. They were varied, different each day, beautifully prepared and presented..... definitely better than we had expected. Lots of choice for breakfast and an amazing choice for our packed lunches. Definitely would like to return on an another walking holiday.
