“Stunning attention to detail ”

We thoroughly enjoyed our long Easter weekend at corrugated cottage. Discovering new things every day was a delight, so much attention to detail. The children loved the Anderson shelter, dressing up and using their imaginations. Even they said we didn't miss a tv. A chance to escape the hecticness of modern life. Our dog even made friends with the owner's adorable dog. Fabulous local walks and tears upon leaving. A wonderful weekend thank you

“Another wonderful stay at The Corrugated Cottage”

Having had such a wonderfully wholesome family holiday last year my children and I decided to return to The Corrugated Cottage again this Summer. As usual, a warm welcome awaited us; the children were delighted to discover that, this year Michael and Mary were "Pig sitting" and a small menagerie of pigs, ducks and baby turkeys nestled in their woods! we filled our days pootling down to the Coast taking in Dorchester, Durdle Dor, Weymouth, Charmouth for the fossil hunting and rock pools as well as the lovely Lyme Regis before our disaster struck! My beloved mini gave up on us! Michael and Mary left into action, after offering to help in a myriad of ways they recommended a wonderful garage who not only fixed our car but lent us a courtesy car for free! The children didn't notice the slight interruption to their holiday and we were back enjoying our little break again ! Michael and Mary Chapman are the absolute perfect hosts and I have never felt happier or more at ease than when staying at their little cottage. Couldn't recommend them and their cottage more highly!

“Absolutely perfect family holiday”

The children and I had the most amazing time staying at the Corrugated Cottage. We played in the Anderson shelter and in the beautiful garden - took day trips out and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. On our one rainy day we played with the toys and listened to the records Michel keeps by the record player - absolutely perfect - planning to return there this year !

The property is in a beautiful area, outside of town but near enough to shops and restaurants to be accessible. Our kids loved the loft and the bunker. It was a tight fit for the six of us, but we enjoyed it. The host was accommodating and friendly. We explored the local area, and made a day trip to Bath.

“Fantastic weekend away to the 1940's”

What a fantastic cottage.
The 3 of us loved this cottage and all its period features.

My daughter loved her room in the eves of the cottage and spent most of her time playing with the mini projector and looking through the heart shaped window down at us in the sitting area.

The kitchen area mixes modern equipment and period features very well and it was difficult to tell which was which. My wife thought the air raid siren on the toilet roll holder was a brilliantly quirky detail.

The Anderson shelter was a lovely cwtch to sit in and enjoy a glass of wine with the fire on.

thank you for a lovely weekend break and we hope you do well in the shed of the year.

“A wonderful trip back to the 1940's”

We stayed here for two nights and I am already wishing we were staying longer. The whole cottage is full of interesting items from the 1940's , the owner found newspapers from the period in the cottage and these are available to read. It is clear that the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to find the right pieces of furniture , decorative and useful items for the house. we were luckily enough to have wonderfully warm weather and were able to sit outside for breakfasts, we did light the fire in the evenings and the place warmed up quickly. The large roll top bath was very relaxing after a days walking and the beds were very comfortable. As there were only two of us we used the downstairs bedroom but I am sure older children would enjoy using the little attic room. the owners should really be commended on putting together such a wonderful place, it was fun to stay here and I would happily go back again.

Liked best: That everything was in keeping with the 1940's theme
Liked least: single beds! I know they can't fit a double in but it was strange after not sleeping alone for 25 years!
