Our third visit with family and friends Spring, Autumn and now Summer! Beautiful rugged countryside exquisite in Autumn. Casale is very comfortable and well appointed with a homely style in an excellent location. Impressive mountains, gorges, forests and lakes to explore in close proximity. Fabulous food in this area - eating out and produce available is great. Very warm people - the Marche folk are curious and welcoming - this doesn't feel touristy here. We are well looked after by the owners local rep - nothing is too much trouble. Shopping is interesting and convenient. In the very hot summer the pool is a delight but don't spend all your time there as there is so much to see and do locally and short drives easily reach a great variety of historical, cultural and natural treats. It is very peaceful and inspiring and we can't wait to return.

“Lovely comfortable house, stunning countryside & so much to see and do (or not!)”

A very comfortable, well-equipped farmhouse in a stunning location, il Casale has the feel of a much-loved family home. The gardens are lovely with areas of sun and shade at any time of the day and the pool is fabulous. (Try a swim in the dark before bed - the best!) Thanks to Luigi (go there and you'll find out who he is!), everything is kept in perfect order. We especially enjoyed eating outside under the pergola, with the Sibilline mountains as a superb backdrop, watching the sun set and the moon rise. And there are so many fascinating places to explore as well. One could spend a month there and still hardly scratch the surface. This was my second visit and I was delighted that the friends accompanying me also fell in love with il Casale. Already arranged the next one! Bron Blake 23 June - 7 July 2012

The house and the pool were just renovated and in perfect condition. House was very well equipped and it was only few minutes from the nearest restaurants and small grocery stores. Pool was much larger than expected, but the only disappointment was that the great views were blocked a little bit in the pool area.
Another positive thing was restaurant Agramater; great food, great views and great staff
located in Colmurano, only few minutes from the house.

“A little gem”

We enjoyed a fabulous holiday away from it all where we could swim in the beautiful pool relax on the loungers and in the evenings decide whether to BBQ at Casale or take a trip to one of the many super restaurants where eating out doesn`t break the bank.
The house suited our needs, comfy beds, good sized bathroom however the shower room was a little small but adequate.
The dining table was right infront of the window which had delightful views over the countryside and we could look out with all the windows wide open thanks to the insect screens that kept the "beasties" at bay.
Casale IS in the middle of nowwhere on an unmade road but if you can cope with that then this villa will give you peace to enjoy the wonderful Le Marche countryside delightful hilltop villages, and for those that want it the seaside. The nearest little town Colmurano is only 10mins away and can provide all the provisions that you may require.
There is so much to see and do that one visit is not enough .
By the way we can recommend a day trip to Assisi about 2hrs away by car, but leave early for there is SO much to see and do there

“Stunning mix of relaxation, art & architecture and breathtaking countryside”

Il Casale is a well restored farmhouse set amid rolling hills and beautiful unspoiled farmland with a clear view of the Sibilline mountains; it is isolated but not remote. The house is fully equipped and very comfortable rather than luxurious; the large new pool is exhilarating. Le Marche is a network of medieval hilltop towns among dramatic scenery. We had a great holiday at Il Casale but only scratched the surface of what the area has to offer. We shall be going back soon. Caution - approach is by largely unmade roads from the nearest village and care needs to be taken - but practice makes perfect.
