We went to Flackley Ash for a Christening reception on 9th March2014. The Carvery was exellent.
Service good. Facilities for disabled extremely poor.... non excistant. The main entrance did not have any ramp and steps difficult to to manage for any one on crutches. No wheelchair access via main door and we were not advised of any other easier access. No disabled toilet .Advised by reception that toilet along corridor had one small step . This might have been better had hand rails been fitted. Also hand rails in the toilet would have been helpful. I appreciate this is an old building but come on Flackley Ash Hotel spend a little money making life a little easier for the disabled. YOU MAY NEED A LITTLE HELP IN THE FUTURE WITH MOBILITY

Stayed here for 1 night on a Groupon B&B deal. Great value especially with the complimentary upgrade to a suite. Suite was very large with terrace overlooking the garden. Decor is a little dated but clean and tidy. Staff very pleasant and wide choice of served breakfast. We did not use the spa or gym but it looked well equipped.

Room Tip: Suite room 64 that we had was huge and quiet.

We have just come home from a very pleasant overnight stay in this hotel. It was a very spacious twin bedroom, which was comfortably furnished, and apart from a fairly old tele, was just right. The staff at this venue are extremely friendly, and the breakfast was very good, (with the black pudding!!) It is set just outside the lovely village of Peasmarsh, and is very close to Rye, and Hastings. the Leisure centre had a lovely pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi, which were well managed, again by a friendly chap. We would recommend a visit to this lovely place.

We went in a group of around 20 to spend two nights here and visit the lovely town of Rye, only about 4 miles away.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, plus the tasty and well presented food.

The swimming pool and jacuzzi was also a bonus.

The staff were all very friendly and the manager even took it upon herself to take us into Rye personally when she saw that the group travel arrangements had slightly broken down on one of the mornings!!

Parking at Rye can be a bit tricky, but there is a local bus that goes to Rye and passes the hotel - find out the times in advance though.

Room Tip: We had Room 46, which we found to be very quiet at all times.

We enjoyed a short break there recently. Comfortable accommodation, enhanced by an upgrade to a suite after reporting that the shower in our super room didn't work. Very pleasant and helpful young man on Reception desk. Although menu choice is quite limited, the standard of food was generally good. Unfortunately, as is often the case, if a bad experience is encountered it is remembered over the good experience. On our last evening we had decided to dine again in the restaurant and, having made our selection from the menu, opting for the same starter we had really enjoyed the previous evening, our starter arrived, shall we say, rather well done and inedible. We called one of the older female waiting staff over, her response to us was extremely rude iterating 'that was how the bread was meant to be ('black and burnt?). Anyway, she reluctantly returned this to the kitchen and we heard heard call out to the kitchen staff 'can you burn another one'. A further starter was produced and, to be honest, it was no better. Had this not been our last night I would have asked to see the manager and made a formal complaint about this particular member of staff. That aside, our stay was pleasant and we made good use of the spa and swimming pool facility. Quite likely that we would recommend and maybe return. Staff were generally pleasant and helpful apart from the very rude waitress and without that particular experience then my rating for service would have been very good instead of average. Had it not been for the restaurant incident then my overall rating would have been 'Very Good'.

Went to this hotel in December 2013 with friends for one of the hotels Christmas Party Nights. On first impression looks lovely but some areas could do with a lick of paint . The first room we were given was overlooking the room where dinner was served and the band playing. Thiswas too noisy for me, could not talk yo my husband without shouting so we asked for another room. We were moved straight away to another room which was fine. The food, was very good and the band was very good. Really enjoyed the party night. Breakfast was good and service was good. This hotel was nice and cosy. Would I go back? Yes but only for a short stay.

We arrived here because our first choice hotel in Rye was fully booked. I am so pleased that it was as we had a terrific couple of days at this country hotel. The staff are happy and can not do enough to make the visitors welcome The food was excellent at all times. I would agree that in some areas the appearance is dated but that is part of the charm. I would have liked a brighter light in the bedroom as reading was difficult even though I have ok eyesight. Well done all we will be back when next in the area
