The bed and breakfast is down an unmade road, but easy enough to find. We were met by a very enthusiastic dog and the friendly owners.
We had the four-poster room which was clean and comfortable. The shower, though, was not very good – at first this was put down to air blocking the pipes, but even when this had been sorted there still wasn’t enough water pressure. There's a big lounch for guests, and a balcony to sit out on too.
The B&B is right on the edge of the Hastings Nature Reserve, so there are great views and a good walk through the woods and meadows down to Hastings Old Town. In the evenings, the owners put food out in the garden and we were treated to three or four badgers and some fox cubs coming in to make the most of it.
