“It doesn't get fresher that that”
Reviewed 3 May 2012

The restaurant is located right by the harbour, which obviously impacts the quality and freshness of the seafood. We liked it so much that we visited the restaurant 3 times in 3 days. It is not expensive, however nothing is compromised.

A bonus: watched a bunch of playful seals swimming around right under the restaurant.

Given that the original meaning of the word TIP = To improve service, here is my review.
We arrived around lunch time on Freedom Day to be greeted by very friendly staff but soon found out that that is where it ended. She produced one menu with apologies that there were no more. She soon however produced more. We had been hiking the beautiful Kalk Bay mountains and wanted lunch but needed a coffee fix first. The coffee took so long to come that we decided not to order lunch after all, but when we went to pay discovered they didn't have change as the manager had decided not to show up for work (being Freedom Day I guess that was his/ her prerogative). The staff were running in circles trying to cover for the truant manager. The food that paased our table to ther patrons certainly looked delicious but alas we never got to try it! I suggest you ask if the manager is in the house before booking.

“Watching seals play as you eat.”
Reviewed 27 April 2012

Though it was more on the pricey side the food was excellent and cooked to perfection, and our waiter was very personable and friendly. We had a window seat and the view was so stunning that I forgot my dinner guest and become absorbed in watching the seals in the water playing and beautiful sunset. Kicked myself that I forgot to bring my camera. A tip would be not to eat too late, as you miss the view after the sunset.
