“Excellent stay”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

Last week I had the pleasure to stay 2 nights in this fantastic bed and breakfast.

Beautiful surrounding, very nice rooms, delicious breakfast and extremely friendly staff. Great restaurant on the opposite side of the street as well.

Perfect place between to stay if you want to enjoy cycling or hiking in Yorkshire park and below Ripon. Yorkshire park has a breath taking scenery, below Ripon it reminds me of the Ardennes.

A word of thanks to the staff who have been extremely helpful and supportive. Arranging a breathtaking breakfast at request at 5:30 and 6:00 AM with a smile and such a friendliness cannot remain unnoticed on this site.

Definitely a place to visit again.

Room Tip: Go to this place and you have everything you could wish for.

Well, I'm not sure where to start....... This place is beautiful, it's very luxurious and the hospitality is the best by far, that we have ever stayed in. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There is a great range for breakfast, including homemade banana loaf which was absolutely gorgeous. I stayed here with my husband and step daughter (age 14) which she stayed in her own room, so it was nice and romantic and we could have some alone time. The only thing to note is that if you use the taxis in Ripon the are very expensive but that is no detriment to the b&b also the b&b is a ten minute walk away from lightwater valley and if you ask nicely they tell you a short cut to walk and then you don't have to que to get in the car park or struggle to park! We will definatly return in the future. 10/10. Mr and Mrs Rodgers

We took two rooms for 6 nights in May 2014. The accommodation was luxurious and the hospitality the best possible. There was absolutely nothing that was too much trouble and we were greeted with a very warm welcome every morning. The breakfast was delicious every morning too!.
The location is great for seeing many attractions in addition to the the dales and the moors.
I would thoroughly recommend the Old Coach House and I wish them every success in the future.

I can think of a few general managers of five star hotels around the world who should send their staff here to see how it should be done. Spotlessly clean excellently appointed rooms and the friendliest staff dedicated to making your stay just perfect are only the beginning. The breakfast really is better than first class I recently had the dubious pleasure of spending $95 for breakfast in the Ritz Carlton in Miami Beach that wasn't a patch on the fair served here. Amy who greeted us and looked after us throughout our stay was excellent a real advocate for the business and an excellent host. The location is a good base but if you are heading anywhere within 50 miles of the old coach house stay here it is well worth it you won't find better.

Stayed here in February 2014 the accommodation and location is fabulous and the owners are very friendly. The only downside to our stay is that the heating was under floor heating and we presumed only came on at set times so our room was cold when we arrived, it did eventually heat up apart from this everything was superb. The pub across the roads does good food and puddings. The area is quiet and breakfast is plentiful.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a break up in Yorkshire. We wanted to be based near Ripon and this was an ideal location for us. We received a very warm welcome and were shown personally to our room. The room was lovely, It was very clean and had all the extras that we needed.
Breakfast was served in a beautiful room which was light and airy. The food was amazing, all fresh ingredients and home cooked.
We would highly recommend this B&B and would definitely stay there again. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
