“Comfortable, clean and welcoming.”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

This manoir is beautifully kept. Spotlessly clean, large bedrooms, with lovely big bathrooms. Crisp linen on the bed and thick towels.
Excellent welcome from the chef patron. We were late arriving but were not rushed into dinner.
Very good breakfast, with fresh orange juice, delicious 'proper coffee' excellent variety of jams.
The manoir has a Pretty garden with ducks and frogs in the pond, with benches and tables and chairs to sit and relax.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Main building, room overlooking the front garden .

This manor house hotel in chateaux country was the only attractive sounding place available when at the last minute we decided to go to the Loire valley for three nights. It was a holiday weekend in France and we were hesitating between various destinations. It was expensive, but I decided to splurge based on our experience in a couple of other charming manor house hotels in other countries... And the photo on the website showed a stylish, antique filled room... Imagine my surprise when we were shown to the Pavillion room in the backyard, to a large, simple functional room and bathroom. A separate , small building with this one room and bathroom. Not even an armchair in the room. We wanted to leave. The owners at that point decided that they do have a room in the manor house itself, and I was shown a room on the first floor. This room was just as plain as the pavilion room. Because it was late in the day, and holiday weekend , we stayed in the pavilion room. It was perfectly fine and comfortable after they brought in two armchairs. The treed courtyard is nice. But not for 185 euros a night. That was overpriced. I thought that the very limited continental breakfast was included. But when we checked out I found on the bill that we were charged 10 euros per person per day for : coffee, tea, a bun and a croissant, preserves, Special K cereal and some soft white cheese.
The owner cooks, and the dinner we had there one evening was delicious.

Do not look any further if you want to visit the Loire Valley. This is most certailny the place to stay.
This manor house is not only surround by a very well kept garden but also provides beautiful and elegant rooms with extremly comfortable beds. Both Maria and Victor go out of their way to help their guests and are full of practical information regarding visits to the neigbouring castles. They made us feel right at home.
We can only urge you to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. We ended up dinning there every night. Victors Foie Gras is legendary! Do not miss out on a pre-dinner drink in front of the chimney.
Dear Maria, dear Victor,
Thank you so much for the unforgettable stay!!

Room Tip: All rooms have a view over the garden.

My husband and I really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Manoir. We dined there every night
and each meal was delicious as was the wine selection. Maria and Victor are charming hosts and very helpful with any questions you may have concerning the region.
The Manoir has immaculate gardens and our room and bathroom were both very spacious.

After touring the chateau areas all day it was very relaxing to come back to at night and have a drink on the terrace.

Travelling to SW France with a dog, searching for an accommodating hotel that also had good parking and good food we found the Manoir online and made a booking - and are delighted that we did. Maria and Victor are very welcoming, we stayed in the Pavilion, which was excellent for the dog because you can simply open the door and let them out into the parkland. The place is immaculate, the services excellent and very good value for money, and dinner on our night there was delicious. Highly recommended, avec ou sans chien!

Room Tip: If you're travelling with a dog the Pavilion room is super!

We spent one night at the Manoir while exploring the Loire Valley and it was positively charming. Yes, the cramped lift is a little less than luxurious and the room furnishings were somewhat sparse, but on the whole, the property is perfectly charming and serene. If you're looking for five-star luxury, I'd probably skip this property, but it's great value for the lovely experience you get for the money.

We had pre-dinner drinks on the quiet terrace, which was incredibly relaxing, and then had a delicious dinner in the lovely (albeit small) dining room. Breakfast was also great, and we were joined by the Manoir dog (which, being a dog person, I loved). My advice would be to spend time on the grounds/terrace/in the sitting room, rather than in your actual room, as those places are much more relaxing and impressive.

Maria and Victor are also incredibly gracious hosts. I'd definitely recommend this place for a night or two stay in Loire.
