“Lovely place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2014

Quiet, overlooks the 'lagoon' (no water now!), excellent food, reasonable prices, non-smoking.
Good place to watch the sunset - get there by 5.15pm!

“Don't look anything else .. just eat here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 March 2014

It was the best meal we had in Tofo, pitty we discovered it on our last day.

It is not on the town, but you just have to walk up a bit trought the main road, but is not more than 200m.

They gave us the most delicious and fresh food and the juices are also amazing, fruit into your glass! The prices are even better, half of what you'll find in any other restaurant in town.

The place is very nice, new, clean, and the people is wonderful, excellent custome service. I highly recomend it!

“A genuine, generous and delicious Mozambican restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 February 2014

One of the two best restaurants in tofo (the other being casa de comer). The food is tasty, fresh and well prepared. And the portions are enormous! We loved the thoughtful touch of free garlic bread to start as well. Although it is located a little further from the seafront than many of the other restaurants in tofo, it is well worth the extra 50m walk.

The fish of the day (barracuda) in coconut and peanut sauce was not like anything I'd eaten anywhere else (in a good way!) and the seafood Matapa was also delicious and unusual. It felt like genuine local food, produced to a very high standard. 'Home-made flavours' is an appropriate and accurate name for this place.

Domingo, our waiter was attentive and kind and helped improve our Portuguese as well. This place has only been open a month, but Paulo, the owner has a lot of experience working in other people's restaurants that he brings to this, his first personal venture. I sincerely hope he does well, the standard of the food deserves it.
