The rooms were at best ok. The rooms were clean however very dated. There is two "bathrooms" in the two room loft with two king beds. The restroom up stairs is only a sink and toilet. The main restroom downstairs has a toilet and shower of which is so small you have to step into the shower to close the door. The sink is on the outside and Extremely small. We had to call three time to have towels brought to us so we could shower. The shower had draining problems and it took a day to get that cleared.
The only ice machine is in the main building and located on the first floor next to the reception desk. We were on the third floor at the opposite end so it was quite the trek. All in all I will not be returning. The cost verses the lack of views and much of anything nice leaves it very lacking.

Rented a condo in the main lodge -
Here is the good, the bad and the ugly -
Good: comfy beds, great location, shuttle feature is awesome and takes you everywhere close by without having to hassle with the car and parking. Kitchen was adequate for meal prep. Super clean unit! Friendly and helpful staff. Great Beach and less than a 5 min walk from the unit. Went over July 4th weekend and it was really quiet - everyone was respectful of each other. Fireworks show was unbelievable - fun music and food. Plenty of room for everyone on the beach.
Bad: we are not big people and found that the unit was very snug. If you are tall and a little larger, you won't be comfortable here. If you go on a busy holiday weekend, parking can be challenging. Kitchen was just adequate. One bedroom unit can accommodate 3 smallish adults maximum. Cleaning staff forgot to close and lock the balcony door - nothing missing, just a little bit of airheadedness going on during a busy time.
Ugly: nothing!

Room Tip: Book early for best selection. Ask for highest floor in lodge to minimize noise.

Beautiful lake front location and grounds. Excellent service and friendly staff. Biggest minus is the price. I just think the rates are too high.
Located very close to the casinos and "downtown" activities.

If you are looking for location perks only with direct access to the beach and the beautiful Tahoe sunsets, this is your destination. If you are looking for an upscale destination... Pass. The townhouse we rented for a family of four was poorly designed and extremely outdated with no air conditioner to cool the room. Our townhouse didn't have ceiling fans to even keep the air moving in the unit. We had to request 4 add'l (very loud) fans for our stay. Had I known this property had ZERO air conditioning, I would have passed entirely. The housekeeping service was 'ok'... But they arrived very early each day. The pictures online for the townhouses do not depict a fair resemblance to the condition of the unit. Personally, I would have spent a little more money for more amenities and updated accommodations since there are so many clean, public beaches in South Lake Tahoe. It felt like we were 'roughing it' for a grand sum of $2,000 over 5 nights. We ended up leaving the property a day early due to our dissatisfaction. :(

This hotel is in a lovely location right on the beach front. Whilst its not your usual hotel with all the facilities it certainly served our needs. The swimming pools were great, as was the kids club. Our loft room was great with a separate sleeping area for the kids which made you feel like you were at home. The only downside for us was our room overlooked the main road and this made it very very noisy at all times of the day. In fact it was too noisy to sit out in the evening and enjoy the warm evening air which was a shame.

Wife and I have stayed at here before and have always enjoyed our stay. It has the perfect location for any activity in the South Lake Tahoe area. We had a deluxe suite which included a king size bed , fully equipped kitchen and a gas fireplace. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When we got to our room we noticed the fireplace would not come on after several attempts following the instructions it still would not ignite. So I contacted the front desk and they advised they would send a maintenance man to check it out. with 10 minutes he was knocking on our door. He worked on it for a good 15 minutes before he finally got it to work. And it was nice to have a nice fire going in our room.

Now for some improvements that I saw in our room and around the area. They charge a resort fee on every reservation. Now I see there could be a lot of general maintenance that should be done around the lodge area. I know outside our sliding door the paint was chipping all off the rails and who ever had painted it in the past got it on the wall so they did not use any masking tape. The water faucet in the bathroom was totally out of adjustment. The cold water handle had to be pushed all the way to the bathroom mirror to turn the water off and the hot water had to be pulled way forward to get any type of water stream. The bathroom door was chipped and in need of a refinish or replaced. There is a wooden frame against the same wall as the TV and at the lower right corner there is hole about 5" long and a inch wide. There were several stains on the carpet.

Also that resort fee include WiFi access. Well I checked in on Monday 08-04-06 and checked out on 08-06-14. To me when the resort fee included WIFI access I should have access up until I check out. Well on Tuesday night at 10:15 my WiFi access was cut because I had used my 24 hours and if I wanted to pay money I could have and extended use. There is nothing noted upon making your reservations saying you only have 24 hours in fact it says Wifi is included with resort fee. It would also be nice if they had a local newspaper available to their guests

Now my wife and I have stayed there in the past and had a great time and I have to say this is a perfect place to stay while in the Tahoe area. With the surrounding Resort land area being very nice and well kept and a have a large beach area to Lake Tahoe it is and 2 heated pools.Other than the repairs needed to the room we stayed in and the WiFi being cut off early we will definitely be staying there again. My wife and I both understand that nothing can be perfect every time and we are not going to let this time stop any return visits. In fact my wife wants to return there again in September and reserve a 1 bedroom townhouse. And you can also rent 1 to 5 bedroom townhouses with some of them being right on the beach to Lake Tahoe.

Room Tip: If you get a room on the Lake Tahoe Blvd you will here car noise. Also if you get a lower room expec...

We stayed in a lake view condo that slept 12. It was just a few steps from the beach where our children, ages 2 and 5, went daily to play in the sand and splash in the water. It was furnished beautifully and had all the cooking amenities that we needed. We didn't eat out the entire time we were there. Our condo had two master bedrooms on the first floor with king sized beds, 3 bedrooms on the second floor with full sized beds and two bathrooms, and the third floor had a room with two twin beds and a private bathroom. With all of this there was plenty of sleeping room and bathrooms for all.

There are plenty of activities around to keep us busy as well. We only went to the pool by the lake which are nice but unheated so chilly on what was cool weather the week we were there. Our five year old son had a great time participating in the free kids club activities. His favorites were the field trip and the pirate day. We also used the shuttle to go to the casino so our kids could go play in the arcade. It picks you up at the front entrance and dropped us off right by our condo.
